#1 Posted: 1/27/2013 2:23:26 AM Posted play record 15-4
Gotta couple of plays for Sundays card... Sort of a more difficult card to cap but I still see some good money opportunities lingering about... So here we go:
Pittsburgh ML: Yeah I said I wasn't going to play Pittsburgh for a game or 2 after they've been outplayed by 2 low rung teams... But this line should be way higher for Pittsburgh... I think Vegas is overvaluing Ottawa a lot here due to their good start... But who has Ottawa won against? Florida twice and Winnipeg? Yeaaaaaaaa....... I'm not gonna put too much stock in that... Plus after 2 losses the determination for Pittsburgh is gonna be through the roof to earn a W... With this short season teams aren't gonna mess around... Not even a talented team like Pittsburgh. I'm gonna roll with the team that is much more talented.
New Jersey Devils ML New Jersey has a hell of a lot of fire power and should be able to take the Habs... I see a lot of value here as I think New Jersey should be be a larger favorite... Montreal is being tremendously overvalued... Again a simple tactic, look at who Montreal has beat... A Washington team in total disarray and the Florida Panthers...
Those are my simple takes what I'll be betting on tomorrow. Not the largest locks of my life but wise gambles nonetheless. Lets keep the money train rollin shall we?

#3 Posted: 1/27/2013 2:39:11 AM Cool, thanks man. I usually don't like rolling with teams who have recently played like crap but I just don't see how you can logically turn down this play.
To be honest I've thought the lines have been off a lot with Vegas this year... And I've taken advantage of it. I reckon they'll probably get more sharp once the season rolls on. Which is why it can be good to capitalize at the beginning of a season... OR them Yankees might just not know their hockey as much as they do other sports... I mean they always seem pretty much on the money with basketball and such. We'll see what happens.
Enjoy that Pittsburgh victory tomorrow

#5 Posted: 1/27/2013 2:56:45 AM Yea buddy, we've been tearing it up!
What do you attribute the bad lines to though??? Could it be possible that the sharps they have working just don't know as much about hockey as they do other sports?
I'd guess that its just because its early in the season but still some headscratching lines.

Its the early season.. forget about the lines.. I went with my guts most of the time.. I know the first 2-3games the line were basically pk so there was no hesitate to choose a winner. Expect the sharps to pick it up in week2 tho.. as line are being ridiculous high as -200. But hey its hockey.. anything can happen in this sport and im sure we seen it all. Sometimes I even feel like its fixed.. with all these terrible ref call lately.. But then again its hockey.. unpredictable

Yeah I think so too... Might be more difficult making lines with the condensed season though... One can only hope
I doubt its fixed... I think they're just trying to make the game more safe so they're really cracking down... Messes up games a lot though... Sometimes I feel like NBA is fixed though... See some fishy things go on sometimes

#12 Posted: 1/27/2013 3:18:41 AM Good stuff man... Yeah thats why I hate betting on basketball... You'll be looking good all game and then a team will just lay back and end up missing the cover by a basket or free throw or some nonsense and its just incredibly deflating.
No doubt though... I mean I don't know how people bet on arena football leagues and crap like that.

#23 Posted: 1/27/2013 6:34:43 PM Alright my friends... Got the night off so I'm gonna soak up some more hockey... Gonna take a few gambles here, but ones I feel good about... Don't be the bank on these or anything though as they're sort of just knowledgeable shots in the dark.
Chicago ML
New York Islanders ML
Vancouver ML
