#1 Posted: 1/14/2013 10:51:37 PM Something tells me this Saturday might be a good time to jump on 4 ties and maybe a couple of hopefully sure wins. It might look something like this 6X6X6X6X1.5X1.5 so you have 2916 odds times lets say 50 Dollars equals $145800.00. These teams are going to be rusty passes won't be on timing will be way off and i just think that Saturday may produce more than a few ties especially against the better clubs.
I will list the schedule for Saturday and tell you my possible tie games as i see them.
Blackhawks @ Kings
Senators @ Jets TIE
Penquins @ Flyers TIE
Rangers @ Bruins TIE
Devils @ Islanders
Capitals @ Lightning TIE
Maple Laffs @ Canadiens(Win)
Hurricane @ Florida
Coyotes @ Dallas
Blue Jackets @ Predators TIE
Red Wings @ Blues TIE
Avalanche @ Wild (Win)
Ducks @ Canucks(Win)
Any Ontario Pro Line players let me know your thoughts. I know its a real long shot but if ever there were going to be some ties this may be the night. |

#3 Posted: 1/15/2013 12:46:22 AM Proline now only allows you to take a max of 3 draws in college basketball.....I'm pretty sure it's the same for hockey...not 100%, but they manage to rig it every way possible to prevent any1 from winning a decent amount.

I would rather BOX a Player and his team ...with another Player and his squad ....usually makes for some nice pay offs |

How about boxing 3 ties out of 5 games. Funny i played against two of those players on that hockey card. Played for the Kitchener Rangers in the old OHL when there were like 8 teams. Montreal Jr Canadiens were in the league as there was no Quebec league at the time and Perrault and Richard Martin played with the Jr Canadiens which team won the Memorial Cup emblamatic of Jr Championship of Canada. |

#9 Posted: 1/15/2013 9:42:16 AM Spent a lot of money last year chasing ties. Would not put more than 3 bucks on them. The teams that I would look for ties on saturday would be in the Kings and Blues games. Anyways, wish you the best. This year I am only going for straight up ml roundrobin plays. Had enough of parlays and chasing ties. |

I hear ya. All i was thinking is that this is an extremely short schedule every single point these teams can earn is huge and i think if the game goes to OT it will go to a SO they will play real tight in OT and let it go to a skill competition. Plus like i said although some of these guys have played this year and others just stayed on skates they will all be pretty rusty timing off more chances for ties in the first few games. |

#11 Posted: 1/15/2013 10:04:29 AM Good theory I am going to think about. The thing that is tough with the shootouts is the 4 on 4 which creates a lot of room out there. During the season am going to chime in with shootout advice. Noticed last year, the Habs had a lot of shootouts at home, and the Deviils and Panthers had their fair share. Look at teams who are so evenly matched like Rangers versus Bruins this saturday, or teams that aren't offensively talented enough to win in regulation and have a great goalie like the Coyotes. Anyways, am thinking 2-3 will hit saturday night. |

I'm going to take 5 teams and box 3 games with a couple of good home teams to win at say approx 1.65 or 1.80. At 10.00 a spot it will cost me $80.00 if one hits it will pay approx $7000. If all them hit it will pay $56000. Long shot at best but with Sat being the first game a fair chance of paying at least one. When the Pro Line sheet comes out i may look at some Sunday games and pick the ties from both Sat and Sun along with wins. |

#13 Posted: 1/15/2013 12:26:48 PM For me I'm hoping that there's a pro pick pool for Saturday that I can play. However I would put $2 on 3 ties. Leafs/Habs, Pitt/Flyers, Yotes.Stars. |

There will definetly be a pro pick pool and the Habs/Leafs may not be a bad tie pick. |

#17 Posted: 1/15/2013 7:39:43 PM you can only do 3 ties max and i did this last season, only came close to hitting one time.
i started doing this after a friend told me he put 50$ a week on a 3 way tie ticket and surprising he hit 3 tickets over the course of 5 years. i only do 5$ week but it is fun on saturday nights with so many games.

actually NM, i thought it was 3 ties max as i always only did 3. seems they allow up to 4 but that would be insanely hard as i think there were only 4 ties in a single day twice all last season. maybe if you were to pick games over a course of 2 days, instead of just 1, you would have a better chance.

#21 Posted: 1/15/2013 8:27:52 PM Had a ticket last year where I had 3 ties and one ml, would have paid $660. Nailed two ties and got the ml, but the last game I needed, a goal was scored in the last minute of OT. Pure deflation.
Am going to look at the schedules. The things with ties, is sometimes there are surprises. I would definetly look at any Kings-Blues games as a potential tie this year. . Coyotes and Devils should be shootout goldmines this year, as they lost some scoring and will rely on their goalie more than ever. |

I will probably only play ties either Sat or a combination of Sat and Sun when teams are a little rusty better chance just like you said happened first Saturday last year. Will roll 3 of 5 teams and see what happens. |

I think trying to pick them over two days is the way to go. Like i said after the first two days i probably won't play ties again this year. |
