I will also be fading my Devils early on. For that matter, I will be fading all teams that rely on older players that didn't have an opportunity to play in the minors, the AHL, or overseas during this extended layoff.

I expect very young teams to do well, especially early on. Keeping my eye on Colorado, NYI, Winnipeg, and St. Louis.

Wouldn't the heart of Dustin Brown help the Kings get off to a solid start and avoid the Stanley cup hangover??

A wise insight, as Kopitar is out for about two weeks.

Don't agree.  I think Toronto will be one of the few teams this year showing a lively spirit during a shortened-yet-condensed season...

New Coaches will suffer greatly in this scenario as they have no pre-season or much camp to implement their schemes...I saw this first hand with the Lakers last year-they got torched the first month after the lockout...

Younger teams will also benefit from the heavy games back-to-back-honestly, it's a wise man's paradise the first month-let's think it forward and make some nice winter $$$$$$$$$$$$$

1-0 ATS...even better when you had an opponent that has won before coming off a letdown season...converse motivation is always a little treat I like in gambling...better threaten to take back those Cup bonuses boys or we''ll be 1-4 for sure...good news is some more fades come quick with the shortened schedule...
