If all you need are 8 teams to vote in favour of a lockout, my guess would be the teams gary controls: Florida, Dallas, Columbus, Phoenix, Anaheim, Carolina, Nashville, Colorado and NJ. They are all saving money by not playing.  I've wanted to impale...err impeach gary for the last 18 yrs.  He has ruined this league.

Aye

eye for an aye! Bettboy is the worst. How he has all the owners in his grasp for so so long is beyond me. I expected that some of the owners of the lucrative teams like Leafs, Rangers, Red Wings would have spouted off, but nothing.

the Bruins owner is leading the charge, the Red Wings owner described the players as sheep or something to that nature and was fined for it, this is going to be uglier than the last lockout.

the "charge" to keep the players locked out? IF so, it wouldn't suprise me. since Billy Wirtz of Chicago died, the freeking Jacobs family have become "the cheapest pricks in the league"

Basically the league currently shares $150 mil of revenue, they proposed a bump to $190 mil, the players are seeking $250 mil, this is money out of Jacobs pocket. The players basically think darn the small market teams, the Habs and Leafs can pay their bills, we don't give a darn. This appears to be a battle of who subsidies the Yotes and Lightning and whatnot.

Wow, it puts another spin on things. Jacobs the cheapest? No way considering they gave Lucic 6 million per year.
