#1 Posted: 6/11/2012 10:44:30 AM Can Brodeur get the MVP award in a losing effort? He is the only reason these finals are still going on...

#3 Posted: 6/11/2012 11:10:27 AM Well, it's not THAT much out of the question, especially if the Devils can force Game 7, but if the Kings win tonight, Brodeur has no chance - it's Quick 100%. The real question is this: Does Jonathan Quick have a chance to win the Conn Smythe in a losing effort? Although he might still deserve it, I really don't think so. For the Devils to come back and win this thing, Brodeur would have to be next-to-perfect, and I think that will swing voters in his favor. Which brings up another point, I still see odds listed for a Brodeur Conn Smythe at +500 or +600, while the series odds for New Jersey are currently at +320.

#4 Posted: 6/11/2012 11:31:13 AM Yes if it doesn't go to game 7 then Quick is the locked in guy...but even a loss in game 7 for the Devils should have him up for some serious consideration in my eyes. He is literally the sole reason there will be a game 6 and possibly a game 7.

I'll gladly give anyone 50-1 who believes Brodeur can win the Smythe in a losing effort.
Cmon sportsbook, lets set this up.
