The Kings and they way Darryl Sutter is coaching them, they are NOT taking one period for granted. No looking ahead, players aren't saying anything but respecting the Devils, haven't accomplished anything, etc. Really? You have the best goalie, a whole bunch of forwards Sutter is pushing into the action that can shoot and a bunch of solid Defensemen.

Result-bye bye game 2. You've seen teams like this in other sports-NY Giants twice, the Cards last Fall, timing, focus and talent-no one can beat them.

Kings will win this series in either 4 or 5-NJ could barely muster up offense-the Kings know they're better but they come out like they're not.

Kings in game 2-110 with my money and yours...

This is truly a devastating run you're witnessing-like Desert Storm in Kuwait-all the ingredients coming together-they don't care where the game is-they push you around everywhere....and they are all hungry....would have been great to see them match up vs other winners...ytanlou can see the frustration across the ice...we will be drinking on Highway 1 soon with Lord Stanley-hey Vancouver-just drive 1500 miles south and you can set up the beach chairs for us...

their coach honestly looks slightly retarded.....not sure I would give this bum any credit, but that's just my opinion.  this is a do or die game for the devils. not sure this is the spot to fade them. Kinda like how the thunder and celtics just won their must win home game. Devils or no play is the only play tomorrow. Save your money and put double on the kings when they get home if you really think they are the better team. good luck

coaches in general.....overrated in almost every sport. Give me a fired up Ray Lewis as my coach any day. He will make sure you give it your all each game.

I'd love to see Sutter take the wonderlic test....guy just seems retarded.

not sure he deserves too much credit. Team just seemed to come together and find a good chemistry after the trade deadline and the acquisition of Carter. Coaches are sooooo overrated. Barry Melrose was an NHL coach.

Sutter is a great coach look what he did for the flames in 2004 with a bunch of castoffs & now he doing the same thing in la but only this time he has a more skilled team to coach..

I could argue this topic till the sun comes up, but i think I'll have a few more beers and see where this night takes me instead. Besides knowing basic strategy and being able to make adjustments on the fly, coaches couldn't be more worthless....especially in the NBA/MLB. Football is the only sport where the coaches really matter imo. Give me a guy like Ray Lewis pumping up my whole team with epic any given sunday speeches before every game over some tight behind doofus like Sutter any day. Because when it comes down to it the coaches main job is to get the most out of his players and I think a guy like Ray Lewis could do a better job.

The only point I was trying to make is that Barry Melrose is a complete moron. Sutter comes across in a similar way to me except he has no personality. That is all.....the coaches aren't going to be the difference in who wins this series......

It`s a good hire & he has won at every level but i still want to see what we do this off season...But i`am happy with the changes so far.

the biggest challenge for Darryl "Henery Hawk" Sutter is keeping "The Booze Brothers" out of the clubs and ready to play esp in LA
