COME ON MAN!!
I just can't see it.
The Kings look like a group of adults sitting at the dinner table enjoying a feast.
The Rangers and Devils look like a group of little kids wrestling on the kitchen floor for the last Joe Louis.

I guess we will find out in the Cup Finals after the Kings probably SWEEP and the Devils-Rangers beat on each other for 7 games |

#14 Posted: 5/17/2012 2:20:20 AM Kings sure peaked at the proper time. Yes I hope the KINGS do win the CUP for RICHARDS and CARTER. Since all the blame was on them in Philly. Maybe they were problem players. Funny when they went to the cup and lost to Hawks they were gods. PRONGER shows up on the Flyers and these 2 guys are problem players. Pronger to me is and was the problem. But hey wtf do i know.
I say the EAST wins the cup this year. Yes I do want the West to win but I think the Rangers or Devils will be a tough matchup for the Kings. It won't be easy as pie for the KINGS. Even though they look unbeatable as hell.
My biggest concern for the Kings they really haven't faced a situation when they were down in a series. They might think they are just too dam good and hit a brick wall when they get to the Cup finals.
Good luck to the KINGS..... |

#17 Posted: 5/17/2012 7:36:01 AM Are you serious? Kings are nothing special.
Playing garbage teams in the west means nothing.
Blues lol, Coyotes lol
Not even top 20 teams in the NHL IMO.
Not like the Devils/Rangers are any better than the Kings so it will be basically a pk'em series.
No one will stop you from putting all your life savings on the Kings so go and get free money.

Good luck to the KINGS..... First off, I made this for fun to get some people going. I don`t really care who wins from the teams that are left, but the Kings do look like the most complete team at the moment. The Kings are yet to face adversity these playoffs I agree, the question is will a team be able to push them to that point? Looks like it's gonna ave to be in the final round if it's gonna happen.
I know you hate Pronger Pucks, and I get that but you worded all that kinda carefully. You left out the fact that Richards and Carter could NOT get Philly to the Cup UNTIL Pronger showed up on the scene, so in essence one must think it was more his presence that was the missing link. He was also missing this year and without him at the end they looked like the exact same team that lost in the playoffs early last season with Richards and Carter, again when Pronger got injured. The results showed clearly he was a bigger influence on their success.
They were both problems, that's just fact. They were showing up hungover constantly and getting other younger players on the team to get into the same habits. The Flyers tried to solve the problem by talking to him but he said he would spend his free time as he saw fit. When the booze and supposedly drugs got too bad they then put up a chalkboard in the dressing room and asked guys to just pledge 30 days of sobriety as a team unity thing by signing it. This was a chance for Richards again to make things right and show some leadership, Richards as the team Captain refused to sign it and so did Carter. This culminated with him being out partying hard while the Bruins were beating them in the playoffs. There is zero excuse for that bullshit. Selfish, spoiled little girl, especially Richards.
Sorry that is no leader and for that matter not a team guy at all. It's hard to argue with those facts. Dustin Brown is the leader for the Kings so it will be easier for him to fit in there with all his abundant talent. And on the rare occasions Carter is actually healthy he is very good despite being too soft.
The Kings already have one of the best Captains in the game, a complete team, and one of the best goalies in the game so all those two have to do is fit in. Ofcourse we will see their best behavior now because they were just cast out, and they hear all the rumors of being drunk, high, and having bad attitudes, so they are out to prove themselves again.
What Carter did to Columbus was just shameful as well. Whining, pouting, and faking long term injury, until they agreed to trade him. That is just pathetic. I was never a big fan of his but now I view him on an even lower level.

I cheer for a team that plays in the East but let's not blanket all teams in the West as weak, that's just silly man.
Would the Rangers or Devils have so easily dominated the Canucks and Blues the way the Kings did? It's hard to picture that in imo with what we saw with the Panthers, Senators and Capitals. My Flyers never even showed up so we won't take them into account.

They are 11-1 in the playoffs having given up only 16 goals....they have scored 35. I don't care if you're playing the Islanders....that's impressive.
NY has beaten Ottawa (took 7 games) and the Caps (took 7 games).
NJ has beaten Florida (took 7 games) and the Flyers.
Is Ottawa, Florida, Philly, and the Caps any more impressive than Vancouver, St. Louis, or Phoenix?
Hardly think so.

Oh Ya. the Presidents Trophy winner = OUT in 5 1st round. the #2 team in the league regular season = SWEEP 2nd round and NOW have the Pacific Division winner down 0-2 and are making them look BAD doing it AND after the Coyotes knocked off the Predlies, who a LOT of people picked to WIN the West with "their great D&G" after the Canucks got knocked off.
you come up with some really dumb statements at time, Niners but THIS one wins the prize
and btw, WHO the HELL have the Rangers played so far? the Senators and Capitals AND they had to go 7 to win those? Devils had trouble with the Panthers BUT I WILL give them the Flyers win esp with a SWEEP after losing the 1st game.
