yesterday after i put my initial play in, lr suggested the lines were moving in phoenixs direction, slowly but surely, i nailed the kings again before game time at better numbers, making it my largest play(by far) of the year and unlike the regular season, it actually worked this time! tonights series i have had a change of heart, before the series i thought(and still do) the rags would prevail, however thought of the first 4 games going split like,i figured to take the night off(which i did) watch game 1 and go against the winner was the play.after watching game 1, i no longer feel comfortable with this theory

Rangers will roll! Devils are not even close to being in the same league as the rangers! The panthers and flyers were nobodies , devils are a mirage! They are not that good!

Rags "rolled" to two game 7 wins over the 7th and 8th seeds and could easily have lost either series... The Devils were in a 0-0 tie game in the 3rd period with the "rolling Rags" in game 1... Panthers just can't score... Flyers just can't hold a lead well... So IF any team is "not that good" and kind of lucky to still be in the playoffs... I'd say it's the wet Rags who are a real terror vs these "nobodies" that are lower seed teams.
NJ will have thier say before this series is over but I think NY wins tonight... I could easily see this being a win at home only series that goes the full monty to game 7 again.
But rest asured that IF they mannage to beat NJ in this series then they get another lower seed team of "Nobodies" which will redefine the term of "Steamroller".

not for me, is it a good play i think so,last series got obsessed,of one game going over and i went 0-2-2 the 2 pushes were straight plays no big deal, the 2 losses were the only losses in 2 different 4 team parlays(one at 40 to 1) i suck at totals and would pick the only under that loses this series, stick with what is treating me good! good luck!

i hear you jab! what i have done the last few days surpassed what i have done the entire year, i have lowered my units considerbly,i really have to screw up not to be good for the duration, just trying to keep a roll going to it is no good any longer, then i will be gambling cases of beer, to keep the game interesting with a smile on my face! good luck brother!

As a casual hockey/Rangers fan who admittedly is not the MOST knowledgeable guy in the world when it comes to this sport, I did have a few observations from Game 1.
I think that the Devils' aggressive forechecking, push hard for goals style in Game 1 simply took the Rangers some time to adjust to. Ottawa wasn't totally a slow, muck it up series, but they never made it such a point to push forward at all times. Caps were a mirror image of the Rangers and the results further confirmed it with all the tight games. It just seemed to me as though it had been about 5 weeks since the Rangers saw such an aggressive forecheck live in game, and it simply took them time to adjust to the speed/approach the Devils were employing. Once the Rangers were able to adjust, they dictated the terms in the third period. Not so much that they got the lead, that's not really my point, what I'm saying is that the Rangers all of a sudden looked COMPLETELY comfortable playing against the Devils style when the third period began, it took the first 40 minutes for them to adjust both physically and mentally. And to be honest, even when the Rangers were somewhat taken aback by the Devils forecheck, at times even seeing 2 forecheckers hitting one Ranger at once fighting for that puck, the Devils still didn't exactly dictate periods 1 and 2. Even with the Devils style surprising the Rags, the Rangers were still able to play their game, blocking shots, not allowing a ton of good looks in the middle of the ice, and Henrik stopping the few good looks NJ got. The Rangers were also able to counter here and there in the early going too, again I don't have the box score and I'm not a hockey wiz but it seemed to me they got a lot more odd man rushes and legitimate open ice opportunities than I saw in either of the first two series. Now that game 1 is under their belt and the Rangers have the film to gloss over, the Devils' preferred style will no longer surprise NY, just like it didn't in the third period on Monday night. I really really don't think this is a fair line for Devil backers, after watching that first game I'd want at least +135 if I were to back the Devs.
Good luck to all you guys tonight, this was the first year in which I took a sincere day in day out interest in hockey and I really enjoy the sport now. As I've mentioned a few times already my analysis could very easily be 100% off due to my inexperience watching the sport (and having never played it), but just wanted to chime in with my two cents.
