#4 Posted: 5/7/2012 4:15:27 PM i think this guy and his garbage dart throwing has all the refs lost this whole season. in the playoofs its been which team shows up and what kind of game is goin to be called. just seems so different from past years |

#7 Posted: 5/7/2012 4:23:17 PM bettman gets revenge on philly for taking out his darling crosby
this was way worse than ovechkin's hit IMO. giroux made no play on the puck, he let his frustration get the better of him and made direct contact to and only the head.
ovechkin did play the puck with his skate and made contact with the shoulder first. headshots are only hits to the head not shoulder.
i dont know how you can think the giroux hit isnt dirty. he cut in front of him, and pushed up with his shoulder to hit zubrus in the head.

#8 Posted: 5/7/2012 4:30:32 PM consistency is a huge problem. neal just got 1 for 2 dirty hits, 1 of which was much worse than this hit.

I am a Penguins fan BUT that is essentually CORRECT and Geno was running Flyers the whole series. Flyers this round are looking like my Penguins in the first round. losing their "cool" which leads to losing their focus with leads to LOSING the GAME. |

having watched NHL playoff hockey for more than 40 yrs i can safely say this is the most mind-numbing scattershot approach to officiating a post-season tournament i have ever seen...
NHL linesmen remain utterly consistent however...
they won't drop the freakin puck...

the giroux hit is dirty
the ovechkin hit is dirty too, he skates by the puck kinda kicks it but his focus is on hitting girardi, leaves his feet and makes head contact. sure we can argue if he hit the body or head first but the intent is there, he left his feet and went high. hes a repeat offender

i have lost all interest in watching nhl hockey. linesmen blowing call after call on offsides, delay of game and or goalie playing the puck outside the trapazoid. let alone the terrible calls the refs r making at the most worst times in games ever. i cant tell u how many off sides have lead to goals and how many called off sides could have been goals. it seems more fixed than ever and i will not stand by and keep giving up my time to watch a sport that looks fixed to even the smallest hockey fan.

#19 Posted: 5/7/2012 6:05:43 PM i will be going back and watching the flyers devils series after it is done and will make a thread about all the missed calls/bad calls the ruined the series. game by game, marked by what happened, at what time it happened and what it lead to on the other end. ill show u how fixed this series actually was. and im not crying either. im already at peace with the flyers being out of the playoffs, seeing as i got a tip that no matter what happened the devils will win the series and or the cup. and if the devils win the cup this year, I WILL NEVER WATCH AN NHL HOCKEY GAME AGAIN!!!

#20 Posted: 5/7/2012 6:09:06 PM AND I GUESS THE CLAUDE HIT ON ZUBRUS WAS WORSE THAN THE HIT ON COUTURIER??? I JUST DONT UNDER STAND WHY THE NHL IS FIXING THESE GAME IN FAVOR OF THE DEVILS??? IS IT BECAUSE OF HOW THE DEVILS ENDED THERE SEASON LAST YEAR???

#22 Posted: 5/7/2012 6:32:58 PM Suspension is a joke, I am a fan of what Shanny has done with regards to headshots but he been utterly inconsistent in the postseason, Malkin was throwing elbows all over the place in Rd 1, OV leaves his feet the other day, Weber smashed Zetterbergs face into the glass, nothing done on those. It's emabarassing

The Flyers had 2 PPs in the OT game they lost. They basically ran over Brodeur in the OT game they won but the refs are out to get them?
Are the refs outshooting them 40-20 every game?

#24 Posted: 5/7/2012 8:30:26 PM Klesla gets 1 game for his hit on a PRED.Weber a PRED slams Zettie's head off glass no game.
King from LA KING hit Alex P same as Klesla gets no game.
This league is so inconsistant.
I DON'T know WHAT THE darn THEY ARE GOING TO CALL.
This ONE game to Giroux is a friggin joke. Zubrus didn't miss 1 shift. Giroux is a lot shorter then Zubrus.
I picked the DEVILS to win the series but this is a laughable suspension.
I have lost a lot of respect for SHANNY these playoffs. |
