I don't see how anyone could take the under when the over has been hitting by a country mile every game.

Last game Pens held Philly scoreless after they got thier 3rd goal... and I don't see Pitt scoring 10 in this game AGAIN...

Could easily become SOMEWHAT defensive and end in a 4-3 game... but yes... It's really hard to imagine actually making a play on the Under... even at 8.

Been a while now since I've seen a (non-all-star) game that was competitive with at least one team scoring 10.

I do recall some wild ones in the 70's and 80's... I wonder what was the highest scoring competitive or one-goal game... I'll have to look it up and post it later...

I remember Blackhawks/Oilers games from the 80's. Would be crazy 8-6 games. Gretzk and Kurri would would victimize Murray Bannerman 4 times. Savard and Secord would pile up the points as well.

yeah i could see somewhat a 3-3 final score as lowest score and push at 7.
i remember 6.5 totals when washington was playing atlanta back in the day like year or two ago, there was a thread here too i think most of those games went over as well.
still not a number i see in nhl totals often (minus all star games).

In college there was a bar that gave free beer and shot if team you picked scored.  Those were the days

We still have those in Cleveland, every time the Browns score a TD the bar gives away a shot. Best marketing gimmick going for several years now.
