from a fan perspective its the canucks , the bnadwagon almost tipped over tonight , but which of these teams is more likely to come back , personally i thought philly was in the pens head before the series started , but after watching 2 canucks games they don't look like even want to win this series , seems like they decided that  without daniel sedin they didn't have a chance

Go to Schneinder. Spark the team, as well I think he is the better goalie. If they start Corey I think they can win 2 on the road in LA

I would agree if Luongo was the reason they've lost but it's been far from it. He's actually been pretty good. It's the rest of the team's fault for once.

The fact that you can't spell CORY properly just tells me you're only looking at stats. Luongo is the better goalie with an excellent backup but goaltending is not the issue. As someone has mentioned, they just don't seem to want it. However, the Canucks have the best road record in the league. They should be able to bounce back without all the home crowd pressure

Ya sorry I don't spell check my players. I don't think Luongo is better. Look at the numbers from this season. Must have been an accident CORY was 2nd in the nhl in save % and gaa. Luongo has been good but hes not making that great save(s) you need like a Tim Thomas did last year or like Rinne in game 1. You need a spark. The players would wake up with the move. But whatever. Ride Luongo into the shitter. How was Luongo in his last 3 road playoff games to? Ya.

First off, that's not a spell check issue. That's just not knowing that he has the less common spelling of the name. Secondly, I'm not trying to diminish what Scheiderman has done in the regular season. I'm simply pointing out that amazing numbers as a 30 game backup doesn't translate into playoff success. Luongo is the more playoff experienced veteran and he's earned his keep. Yes he's had some major meltdown against Chicago and Boston, but nobody played well in those games. However, him and Kesler are the only reason we survived the Preds last year, and Lu played very well last year against San Jose.

They both look like garbage at opposite ends of the ice.  Pens issues are probably easier to correct but they are both in some trouble

Although Boston lost 1st 2 at home last year to the Habs before coming back

the pens issue is that they gotta tighten their D up and get some more saves from fleury while the nucks have to score some goals and fix their pp. Luongo should start sunday by far the best nuck in both games.

Cory would hold those #'s through a full season. And so what if Lu played good in 2 series last year. He played like complete trash in the other 2. Hes not consistent, and gets rattled. Then goes into a bad stretch. We have seen it alot. Whatever you Luongo fans ride him till the end. Im just saying I think Cory would do a better job right now and spark the team in the process. Because this team is dead at the moment.

I'm not saying that Cory can't do it, I'm simply saying that we have no foundation to assume he will. Also, it wasn't just good play in only those 2 series. Of the 3 games the Canucks won last year against Boston, Lu had 2 shutouts! We scored 8 goals in 7 games and people point at the goalie as being the problem!! As for Chicago, he played great in the first 2 games, an entire team meltdown in the next 2 and Lu was solid after that. I challenge any goaltender to consistently put up great numbers with the inconsistent defence and lack of scoring the Canucks have shone.

the kings might make a run this year, i think they sweep van...

doughty anchors that defense and quick is playing well

mind you, outcome will be different when vancouver doesnt take stupid untimely penalties.

Absolutely agree. If the Canucks can't score goals (and without Daniel, it seems likely) then this series won't go past 5 games. That;s my exact point. Everyone points the finger at Luongo, but clearly it takes goals to win games

Ya the reason they can't score goals is because Quick is a bigtime goalie that makes game changing saves.

Nucks are in worse shape and the player that can help them is daniel sedin not schneider and he isnt going to be back for game 3. They can go to schneider for a spark but whichever goalie plays can only give up 2 goals max because they are not scoring right now. I think a road game is exactly what they need though. Play tight defensive hockey and win a 2-1 type of game

Canucks are easily in worse shape.

Without both Sedins, they have a pop gun offence.

Roberto has been playing well IMO he made some great saves when the canucks down 2-1 last night to give them a chance.

Personally think the kings want it more.

I'm not a Bobby-Lou fan, but down 0-2 is not his fault!

Team is totally out of sink and their special teams is killing them.

Since Daniel has been out, Henrik has been playing like he has a concussion too!

If you actually believe the "they want it more" analogy, then you have never pulled a jersey over your head and competed, so Stop It!!!

If the Pens can get back to playing defense, they can get back into this series...........
