As much as it pains me to play against my Red Wings, I honestly don't think they have a shot at beating the Preds. The Wings defence has been horrible as of late and Jimmy Howard has kept them in most games. If he gets hurt again they have to rely on Ty Conklin who shouldn't even be an NHL goalie. Lidstrom is getting old and has been battling injuries this season. When he is out the Wings defence looks good awful. The Wings were 17-21 and 3 on the road this season and if the Preds get one of game three or four this series could be over fast.
The Preds have, in my opinion the best goalie in the NHL next to Quick and two of the best shutdown defenceman in the league that can contain Datsyuk and Zetterberg. The Preds has lost to th Wings in previous playoff series so you can expect them to know what they are dealing with.

Since Daniel Sedin went down the Canucks have turned into a defensive minded team winning low scoring games. This fits perfectly for a Kings upset as they to play a defencsive minded game. I think we are going to be seeing a on of 2-1, 1-0 type games. Luongo has been up and down all season and you know that the presure is on him right now to perform. By taking the Kings we are getting the better goalie and a team playing with a ton of confidence. |

I canot honestly find a reason why I should back the Panther except for that they have home ice. The Devils have a ton of fire power and and edge in net with Broduer as bad as that is.
I have a feeling that come playoff time Broduer will rise to the occasion as his playing days are winding down. The Panthers have a hard time scoring so you might see quite a few UNDERS in this series. |

The past three seasons 1st period unders in the first game of each series went as follows
2011 7-1
2010 5-3
2009 7-1
The reason that it favors the UNDER so heavily is because there is usually a feeling out process the first 10 minutes of each game. Teams don't want to give to much of the style of game that they want to play during the first period and rely on the other teams mistakes.
WINGS/PREDS UNDER 1.5 -143 3 UNITS
CANUCKS/KINGS UNDER 1.5 -170 3 UNITS
RANGERS/SENS UNDER 1.5 -143 3 UNITS
BRUINS/CAPS UNDER 1.5 -143 3 UNITS
BLUES/SHARKS UNDER 1.5 -143 3 UNITS
YOTES/HAWKS UNDER 1.5 -143 3 UNITS
DEVILS/PANTHERS UNDER 1.5 -143 3 UNITS
Laying of of the PENS/FLYERS UNDER as these teams know each other well and have a history of playing OVER the 1.5 in the first period.
