They did look pretty good. They have been good against Detroit and Van this year. Blues they own at home...only team that worries me is Nashville

dont worry about nashville, they put up big points but their mentality is small, your coach/goaltending can only take you so far..

Thats why the hawks won in 2010 and the flyers made it to the finals? They had great goaltenders?

No he wasnt, he was ok. Hawks rely on their firepower, not goaltending to bail them out of games like most teams. Btw, crawford plays well when it matters most, you are underestimating him as well.

Gotta love the homer cockiness of this bhawksfan guy. Hawks went 10-2 in march. Yotes were best team in hockey in february. Who cares? This series wikk be a battle. Laughable sweep prediction. Yotes with home ice advantage and mike smith between the pipes. Smith can carry this team all the way imo. Hawks are very capable of winning it all themselves dont get me wrong. I think the winner of this series represents the west in the stanley cup finals

I said they might get sweeped, didnt say they def will. It has nothing to do with being a hawks fan, knowing my team well they should dominate the yotes. Regardless of the result of the series, I ll be the first to admit I was wrong if phx proves me wrong.

Messier - That's a very bold prediction to say the winner of the West is decided here but I will say anything can happen in the playoffs.

Nilshu - Still like Pitt in the East =)

THANKS GUYS...WORKING ON THE REST NOW

Toews health is everything. If he's hurting, Hawks are toast.

2-11-12 @ NJ
Panthers (3-1)
Clemmenson vs Brodeur
Panthers +135 - Under 5

THOUGHTS
Although the season series was tied I think it's bullshit that the Panthers have home ice over a Devils team which is clearly better than the Panthers. However looking at this matchup I would say the Devils should win. Panthers were in a pathetic conference and it's an embarrassment that they are the conference champions. Moving forward though, Panthers goaltending isn't too great and Devils have looked very good at times. Also from looking at the previous games if the over under is set at 5 I would say the over is a good bet every time. At worst it could be a push. Could be a short series but Devils should win this one no problem.

The Detroit Red Wings to win the series @ +110

Even though the Preds have home ice advantage, the Wings have a ton of playoff expeirence and a # of skilled veterens that can come up big when it matters most, Jimmy Howard is not that much of step down from Pekka Rinne. I wonder what the line would have been if the Wings had the #4 seed? Something to consider before wednesday.

THOUGHTS
This could possibly be the best matchup in the whole playoffs. Two amazing teams who unfortunately have to battle it out in the first round. Complete bullshit if you ask me but that's besides the point. Flyers are leading the season series but I have been riding the Penguins train for a while so far this season. Flyers still have plenty of injuries while the Penguins are becoming healthy once again. I look for this to be a high flying, high scoring, intense matchup. Could even go down to 7 games since both of these teams are so good. In the end I say Pens win this one and move onto the second round. I know they haven't been the best against the Flyers this season but I'm still going with Pitt. Malkin is killing it this season and he will continue to do so on into the playoffs. Penguins in 6, maybe 7 games. WARNING: This series could go either way really. But I'm siding with the Penguins here.
