Refs absolutely blew that one.  I tend to think most of these goalie interference calls should be made but that one was clearly a bad call.  Terrible way to end an otherwise very good game.

yea they scored then called no call and a penalty terrible call devils defensemen forced gabby into the net you could see him trying to stop the snow shooting up.. fuckin nonsense

WRONG PEOPLE, IT was A PENALTY FIRST as HIS ARM WAS UP. THEN NO GOAL!

Brodeur makes a huge save, Gaborik going to the net and trying to stop but the defender is doing his job. As Brodeur makes the stop Gaboriks contact gets the puck loose and Brodeur backs up in the post and net. 

 

Good Call, but I could also see it go the other way.

Gaborik put the breaks on a good 5-6 feet before the crease and the devil defender had his stick on gabby and kept pushing him into gabby.

Refs continue to blow calls like this in Rangers games this year, more so since torts complained about that bs officiating in the winter classic. Buttman and his shitty officiating crews never cease to amaze me in how bad they are anymore. Obvious push by volchenkov and the devil's catch another break. NHL is seriously sliding down to the NBA level of stupidity in officiating.

Call goalie interference when it's deserved, but refs are mindless when it comes to this call now..it used to be if you got pushed in they didn't call it which is correct. Now it doesn't matter..the D-man can pick you up and throw you into the goaltender and the forward still gets the penalty. Nonsense.

Great call to end the game and the Devils 2nd win over the Rangers in a week. Also I notice no complaints about the missed high stick by Fedetenko

Who the Fuck cares about a missed high stick on stupid ass Fedetenko?!?????????!?!? are u kidding me with this comment!? Wow a high stick in the middle of the game are u really going to talk about that it wasnt a game changing event.. maybe they have gotten a pp they prob wouldnt have scored.. a blown call on a GOAL is whole subject.. that call was fucking horrible and do not appraise your devils they fucking suck you beat us the first time off of a lucky bounce and today the rangers partied in the city w the parade and get very unfortunate they should have won this game .. all of a sudden these devil fans are coming out of nowhere.. let me see you guys fill up the prudential center for once you losers

I dont give two shits for either the Rags or the Devils. BUt I watched the game and Devils dominated the first two periods.

I also watched a non tripping call in the second period while the Rags were on a PP.

FInally, an obvious High Stick non call is huge when your up 1-0 as a visitor in the third period!

Go learn some hockey before you come on here yapping like an ahole!

Devils have 2 less wins than your great Rangers and have won 2 of 3 vs them. If you cant take losing a wager then maybe you shouldnt be betting

I've checked two boxscores on two different sites and no NYR ended the game with a minus? I'm just going to assume Brad Richards was on the ice.

This is kind of a hilarious thread.  Devils played a great he.  Broderick was top notch but that call was mind boggling.  Yes they missed a high stick.  The point is the refs were terrible once again when it really mattered.  Anyone who watched that play and isn't offended as a hockey fan by the way it was called...isn't really a hockey fan.  I want my team to win but have the intelligence to acknowledge when we caught a break or were on the right side of a bad call.  Gloating about a one in a million bounce and a game decided by poor officiating is poor form devils fans.  Your team is playing well...it's about time, but both these games took huge breaks to pull off.  At some point the horseshoe will fall out of their asses...this team is not quite on the conversation with the Rangers yet. Blue shirts did not play well at all tonight and still pushed the game to OT...at least, they should have.  If this turns out to be a first round matchup it will be great hockey and at this point would feel confident the Devils would be going home early again.  Hopefully they'll get there to find out.  In the meantime,  have the decency to acknowledge what was clearly a tremendous mistake by the officials.  The refs will after they look at the replay.

i think it was a good call after looking at the highlight..

even if you think it should be a good goal the fact that it took the rags that long to score on the geezer is an embarrassment in itself.

brodeur sucks this year cant believe he wants to come back for another.

You are right there Lipps. They need one, 12th ranked offense I think, bottom feeders on PP too.

It's only 1 lost bet for me so no big deal, but it looks like he was pushed right into the goalie, and that's what D-men often do now knowing that the call, if there is one, is gonna go against the forward.

I've seen much worse than this one though, and it happens often these days. Protecting the goalies is one thing but the fact it always seems to go against the offending team regardless of what role the defenseman has in it is bogus. They need to revisit this rule because goals are being taken off the board when it's the defenders' fault. 

Devils are a solid team though and are really putting it together right now.
