Who knows where the season goes from here but to me right now we are the best team in hockey. We have a top 3 goalie right now if not the best in lundqvist. A  top 3 defense that has been lights out even though their best defensemen staal has missed 30 something games, a top 4 defensemen sauer has been out for weeks, and a top 6 defensemen in eminger who out for 8 weeks. We have 2 of the top players at their positions in gabby and richards and have young gritty players in dubinsky and callahan who continue to get better.

our records against

pitt phi sj and van is 7-0

havent played bos chi or det yet so we'll see but for now 16-4 last 20 and 26-9-4 overall shows were the best!

yes playing well, however i think they r too eurocentric to go far in the playoffs but well see. european pylrs seem to be in awe of the furious pace and unable to handle the physical demands of a cup run. there are exceptions of course.

thinking of dropping some cash on futures NYR for conf title.

Sorry homer but there's no shot they are the best team in hockey right now. You know that team, the one that is 23-4-1 in their last 28 games, the one with the number one offense averaging the most goals per game, the one with the number one defense allowing the least amount of goals against per game. I think they refer to them as the Boston Bruins. Ok being serious now all jokes aside there is no arguing Boston is currently the best team in hockey. Period.

no that would be the canucks who always seem to be the best team in hockey yet never win anything!

rangers are gritty teeth no finesse at all so i like our chances in the east

really? homer? hmmm. Lets see how many goals bruins get against lundqvist and the rangers defense on jan 21st. I guarantee they dont get more then 2. Bruins are the champs so they are the best until beaten but the way the rangers are playing they can beat anyone!!

Could very well be true, but the fact that can't be argued is they are better with Avery on the team.

the way I gauge this is by asking myself this....if given the opportunity right now would I place a large wager on the Rangers going farther than the Bruins? The answer is a hell no. I'd go all in the other way. Huge Ranger homer, but I'm also a realist. No chance this is the best team in hockey. They are playing great though

i guess we'll see soon enough. I'd take lundqvist in a big game against the thomas or rask. Right now im saying their the best but long way 2 go.

I think you give a much more honest answer then cambry. The Rangers are playing great but are in no way shape or form the best team in hockey. If you were to poll a bunch of people not including Rangers or Bruins fans I believe the Bruins would get the nod by a landslide. I'm a huge Toronto fan and have absolutely no bias when regarding this matter, and it's no argument that Boston is the team to beat for numerous reasons.

who has the most points right now? rangers do at 56 so pt wise their the best time. They are playing as good as the bruins and we havent lost showcase games like the bruins did at home vs van on saturday. Bruins are the best cause they are champions but right now i feel were better. Wait 12 days til we go to boston and we will see who wins that game and the other meetings we have with them.

BOSTON RECORD AGAINST

SHARKS FLYERS PENS  NUCKS SHARKS WINGS BLACKHAWKS  = 3-4

LOST TO THE WINGS NUCKS AND SHARKS ALL AT HOME.

WE'RE 7-0 AGAINST THOSE TEAMS MINUS THE WINGS AND HAWKS.

Defending stanley cup champions. Best defense. Best offense. Best goal tending. Need I state more?

Cambry, there's no doubt the Rangers are playing some great hockey, but they are #2 right now. And saying we will see when they play each other soon is less significant than you make it seem. One game decides who the better team is? Well Toronto beat the Rangers 2 times so far does that mean Toronto is the superior team? To add to that, they may be 3-4 against those teams but 2 of those loses came in the first 10 games when they were still having a major hang over. Boston>Rangers, but no doubt they are #1 and #2 right now.

how are they the best defense cause they feast on bad teams?

We can settle this in 12 days and then 3 times over the final 3 months!

Come on cambry your really making yourself look like a homer with a completely biased view. Boston is holding opponents to under 2 goals this season. Unless they are playing LA every game, that is damn impressive. They have won 23 of their last 27, I don't care who that's against it's extremely impressive.
