The whole goal is to win the first dog play in series. But if you don't get that first game then you play for the split on the 2nd one. I look for at least a +120 payback. There can be no injuries to any of your 1st liners. You win the first one you walk away. You lose the first then play the dog in the 2nd one. Don't chase....don't chase....don't chase.
This is for the first two games in the series only.
This reason it works well most seasons if that in the NHL as most playoffs, the teams play a much better D than usual. So a lower scoring game gives a boost to the dog. Also being just the first two games the teams don't usually take any chances and err on the side of caution.
Now there are variations that I do not reccomend but they are out there and well.....they have been know to turn a profit.
1. Chasing the first game on a loss.......I hate chasing and it's too much of a risk.
2. If the dog wins the first game you take the fave in the 2nd one. I willl play this sometimes. But it it's juiced more than -140. Which it usually is then of couse I play the -1 line. You notice I didn't mention the regulation line. That's because there is just too much of a chance of OT in the playoffs. Don't play regulation lines. Play the -1.
You will notice this has a twinge of how I play the first few weeks of the season, by taking dogs of +125 or more. Don't forget that in pucks home ice really doesn't mean squat. Use that to your advantage

Of course all teams have injuries, but the Kings have some very recent injuries to thier top scorers

Let me ask, if you had to pick a few that you really liked or did not like, what would they be? I know you bet the same amount but is there one that stands out for any reason?

System looks very interesting, especially in the first few games of each series. Seems home ice becomes more of a positive factor later games in opening rounds. One upset I just can't see, is the Rangers at the Caps, though. Goalies going to have to do it all by himself, as Rangers best scorer is down. They limped to the finish line and were an OT game away from not making the play offs at all. ( Similar to last year when the failed to make the play offs on the last day.) I'm playing Sabres, Predators, Blackhawks, and Lighting, the first game, at least, and Sabres for the series. BOL, will follow this closely.

Well for game 1
Like the Yotes.....Wings just haven't been very Wing like.
Like TB......of course we all know why...But I really think this series should be a pick'em. Oddsmakers had to make Pitt a -140 or so fave just keep all the money from being one sided.
Really like taking the Sharks 1st game. Just make sure to play iton the -1 line.
Not fond of taking the Habs. But I do think they steal one game in Boston. Just not sure which game it is.

So I'm not sure exactly what the -1 line is. If the Sharks win by 2 or more you win, but if they only win by 1 you get your money back, is that the case? And what if the game were to go to ot?

Thanks Lippsman! Played the system last year and it worked to a perfect 8-0...5 times we hit it the first game and then doubled up to win the other 3...I'll take your advice and advoid the Kings...Quick question for you or the others .. DO THE ODDS STAY THE SAME FOR GAME 2?...so if TB is +130 for game one and they lose will they be +130 for game 2?...or at least will the odds be somewhat close to +130 give or take? Thanks in advance.

That is correct, it's a whole game wager. And a one goal Sharks win would get you a tie. If you need the formula, just PM me and I will send the spreadsheet that will calculate your play.

The dogs that lose in game one usually have about the same odds. Last year was a good one for sure. Many game one winners. That makes a huge difference.

i wonder if rags blew their shot, i know its just 1 game but to me this was probably going to be the toughest game for the caps mentally. they needed a win. now the pressure wont be the same.

Still undwinding from the game. One hell of a game, but my heart just sank when I saw Semin snap that shot. Not a good start at all. But still have faith for the late games.
