I think this is a great question...when it seems to easy, ,ost of the time it is...look back a few days with St L/Vanc...Vanc -140, lost 3-2. Calg same night was -102, they won 9-1. Vanc next night was -102, and Vanc won 4-1...why was Phili only -121 vs Florida...???
Both on a days rest, teams going west have a tough time, Mont coming off a loss to Buff, EDM off a home win over Dallas...Not too sure here! Mont, better team, by far...OIL bottom of the barrel...

The price is cheap because the Habs have played as poorly as Edmonton during the last 2 weeks, losing 4 out of their last 5 contests. Three of those losses were at home. Meanwhile, Edmonton is coming off a rare victory, beating a banged up Dallas squad who happens to be 1-5-1 since the break. As poorly as Montreal has played, why would you say -135 is cheap? Are you really expecting the Habs to be at least -150 on the road during their current slump? It's amazing how much influence perception has in the gambling world. When you think of Edmonton and Montreal in the same sentence, one automatically assumes a Habs victory but let's not forget that Edmonton beat Montreal at the Bell Centre in early December, 5-4 and Montreal has lost three straight at Rexall Place.
Devil's advocate in the previous paragraph, however, I can't back the Oilers in this spot. As poorly as the Habs defense has been, I still expect them to shut down Edmonton's anemic offense who, statistically, has the 3rd worst scoring in the league with only 141 goals this season. What is even more putrid is that Edmonton is the 2nd worst team in the league, defensively, behind Colorado, giving up 194 goals this season. I believe Montreal's style will prove to be a difficult matchup for Edmonton as the Oilers will struggle to find the net. Montreal's neutral zone play will limit Edmonton to odd man breaks and open ice play is the only way that Edmonton has a shot in any game. It also helps that Montreal has acquired Mara who is experienced with the Habs system as he played in Montreal last year. Offensively, Montreal is finding the net while scoring 14 goals in their last four games. I don't think tonight will be any different as Khabibulin should get peppered with shots tonight.

Folks,
amd is right on here. Also, consider the statistical odds of the current Mont team against this current edm team, going 0-4 at the Rexall...scoresandodds has Mont as thier green star edge, capping the game with Mont at -245.
Does someone know something here, that I am not seeing???? Almost every statistical category has the edge with the Habs: GA, PP, PK,...
I am taking Mont -130, 390-300, and putting 110-100 on the over...I see a energized Habs team, going into Edm, putting up 4 goals, Edm not laying down, netting 2, maybe 3...
