first off, even though I AM a retired old geezer, I DO have other things to do than just sit and blog on Covers all day and night.

second, IF you had been around this forum for any length of time, you would KNOW I am a die hard Penguins fan BUT am also brutally honest about what I see from my team and THAT means stating recently that they have been STINKIN'.

GREAT comeback last night mostly thanks to "E Normous" BUT WHAT does this team NOW do about it's $5.5 MILLION dollar backup goalie who gives up 2 GA's on 5 shots last night? let us also not forget that they are 2-5 their last 7 games which ain't exactly "Future Stanley Cup" results.

I still say they look out of sync and "the two headed monster" of Crosby and Malkin can't play every shift. the "M&M' D" of Martin and Michalek haven't lived up to the hype and along with "Go-Go" get beat with speed WAY too often. AND how about that Power Play? (or rather, the lack thereof) Kunitz FINALLY popped a PP goal at the end of the 5 on 3 lat night BUT they only have 10 PPG in 15 games AND have given up 20 PPG against.

I just think for a team that has the payroll of my Pennies, they sure should be doing one HELL of a lot better. I also question sending Eric Tangradi back to Wilkes-Barre. their are other more expendable forwards to send down like "Mike the Minus" Comrie. THAT deal is looking like a BUST right now.

will see what happens when Jordan Staal FINALLY gets back in the line-up. couldn't BELIEVE the last where his foot is finally OK and he BREAKS his HAND in practice
