Last Night 4-2-1* +$95 Season 24-30 +$95  Not tracking pushes*

Washington -1  100/80  Gonna sit right beside John Q Public and watch Ovie do his thing to an overmatched Habs squad. I do think this will be a better game than many expect but in the end I think the Caps pull away as Ovie tries to and does put on a show for his first game back on home ice since his return.

Florida/Detroit Over 5.5 -130 65/50 A pissed of Wings squad against a surging Panther with claws. The Panthers have had some good success lately and the new found offense has been a big reason why and if there is really a need to tell what those other guys in red can do with the puck then your in the wrong forum. Looking like Ozzie returns to the cage against Clemmensen and these two things only reinforce what already would have been a play. Why bother with a side when I can sit back and watch what will be back and forth action that will dare both goalies to stand on their heads?

Philadelphia/San Jose Over 5.5 -120  60/50  Should be Emery against Nabby as both tenders make their returns to the twine. I as a rule love going against a goalie in his first game back who was playing hot and then given a game off for the teams last game and in this game I have two of them in the exact same scenario as both Emery and Nabby were playing lights out before being sat down for a rest in their respective last games. In the only other game between these two this year the Sharkies skated right through, around and past Philly in a 4-1 game which had all the excitement of a night alone in the basement with the grandparents watching game shows as Philly failed to show up and looked completely disinterested from the drop of the puck right up to the final buzzer. I look for this game to have alot more emotion involved in it and be the game of the night on the board skill and entertainment wise thus creating enough good quality scoring chances to push us over the total. Boucher playing obviously does not change this play should that be the case.

Philadelphia ml +130  20/26  Just a little hope shot in a game that close to the end I think will be up for grabs by either team so gonna nibble on a tiny bit of the plus money. In the two meetings between these two early last year both games were very high scoring and went to a shooutout and both were won by the Sharks and if we get to another one here and we very well may; I wanna be on the plus side while watching.

Note: It did cost me money but as more of a fan of the game, honestly something has to be done about phantom calls like the one last night in Carolina that cost the Maple Leafs a victory. Just disgusting for the game that two referees can't see a clear play in front of the net properly enough to see a player standing still with his stick a foot off the ice the entire time did not highstick anyone as Carolinas own player highsticked the other in what was VERY obvious but somehow a referee envisions something that did not happen? How does this happen? It is beyond words as I watched this with a large group of people we were all lost as to how that can happen by mistake. Just unacceptable and raises many of the same questions to a much lesser political and devastinging to career level as the blatant and now infamous hand ball that has given France a free gift pass into the World Cup and banished an entire nation from it in the process unfairly. It will be hard for refs to ever get any kind of respect with inexplicable events such as this. Toronto you got robbed of victory plain and simple. How does one see something with certainty that for certain never happened?? Puzzling to say the least.

I managed a winning night despite this but it is hard to watch as a fan and ofcourse as a gambler as that stuff can't be capped..

Keeping the plays light for now as I begin to stand back up on my feet here for a proper run at this season.

BOL To all my brothers from other mothers out there, keep it real fellas...

Re: Tonight' Flyers/Sharks game:

  -  I think you're on the wrong side of both the ML and the # [I'm off the side and taking the Under (5.5)  +104].

I too will be on the CAPS (PL).  I don't understand the appeal of taking a side at +/- 1 (as opposed to +/- 1.5).  It's fine if you don't wish to bother explaining your reasoning behind that WSH play.  I was just curious and hoping to learn something.

well said.  Although watching the Leafs game last night was like watching a pee-wee game.  Passes to open ice, turn over after turn over and basically lousy goaltending.  The best line of the night was my wife saying Paul Maurce looked upset after the Leafs scored.  I said he isnt' our coach anymore.  Then I realized the two crappiest teams in the league and the leafs have had both coaches.

You just blew my mind.  I was on the LEAFS ML for that game and I thought the exact same thing.  I thought, "this is like watching a bunch of 9 yr olds go at it".

I'm not going to pretend that Wilson is a great coach, or even a good coach, but I'll give him a little more slack than you . . . the players have to be held accountable at some point, too.

Is that what I've done?  I think you may be being a bit glib.

True, I could have asked him why he likes such 'n' such a play, but he already stated why he liked such 'n' such a play.

I often do my best to be more diplomatic than most on this site.  I might have worded the first half of original post differently, had I not made a similar post about the Pens losing last night, and having been proven correct.

Again, I believe you're being a lil' presumptuous.  All the same, I wish you luck, Johnny.

'Almost'.  But like Brandy used to sing, "Almost doesn't count".

And to you.  Get that paper, kid.

First off, when you came into my thread telling me I am dead wrong on the Flyers game telling me that game was "the exact same situation as the Sharks game the night before" I was aware your not as as astute a hockey person as you like to think you are and that is putting it very kindly as that was one of those iditotic statements I have ever read here and that is saying something as other than two teams playing their backup (sharks then flyers) who happen themselves to have zero in common experience or skill level wise their was zero those two situations had in common other than a fave(-140 and -115) being on the road which is half the board most nights. This machismo you displayed on a night in which you went 0-5 with your picks and no biggy kid bad nights are everywhere but they are best displayed and absorbed with modesty.

As to your question about the -1 lines perhaps it is simpler if you go back to tomorrow night and see some players that were on the -1.5 blues play here as there were a few very good cappers on it and see them losing their money while my -1 play did not win but yet kept my money for that game in my pocket to play again with while all the while it also was still a plus money value play.

Everyone has different styles and -1 plays are generally still plus money plays just with better insurance of a non loss and last nights blues game which I played that way is it's own example and if I had of played it at -1.5 I would have had a losing night instead of the winning one I got to enjoy.

In closing it is an open site you are free to roam as you please but with respect I have watched you converse with myself and others and would ask that you refrain from engaging in convo with me or coming into my threads and again all I can do is ask as we have zero in common thinking or approach wise and I personally feel you have zero to share with myself  and I know have zero to share with you aside from bickering so there will be no responses from me from here forward.

I am sure I will hear back from you despite me asking the best way I could but it will fall by the wayside, but get off your little chest what you must and then please go elsewhere.....I once had you on my friends list as G-UNIT we both know this and you are on about you 4th name here since then for these reasons I have listed and please don't say it's not you bud, I am a pretty sharp cookie and we both know it is true your style of thought and writing are way to damn unique but I could give a damn, not my business until you make it mine as you persist on doing here the last few days....Please go bye bye, we have nothing to talk about. There are tons of threads and people here. I am an average capper and here for fun and making a little money maybe with some luck so no need to clutter up my threads and my convos with my brothers here. Bye and BOL in the future......
