#10 Posted: 11/7/2009 10:58:18 AM November 5-3 (+1.6); 2-0 sides (+2), 3-3 totals (-.4)
New Jersey ML +132 -
Although they played last night and had a narrow 2:1 win over the
Islanders, Brodeur is rested and brings the Devils 7-0-0 away record to
Ottawa. The Senators have played a really weak schedule so far and have
had issues keeping the puck out of the net in recent games. NJ has won
4 in a row and 7 of their last 8, the only blemish a 4:1 home loss to
Buffalo, a team which always poses the Devils problems. NJ has won the
last 6 meetings.
Calgary - NY Rangers U5.5 +108
- Despite both teams placing in the top 10 scoring, their numbers have
dipped recently. Before putting 4 goals past Edmonton 2 nights ago (3
via power play), the Rangers had tallied 1, 1, 2, 1 goals for. Calgary
meanwhile notched two wins in overtime @STL 2:1 and @DAL 3:2. They have
scored only 1, 2, 1, and 2 goals in regulation in their last 4 games.
With Lundqvist fresh and the #2 PK unit, goals for the home team won't
be as easy as they usually are. Calgary blanked the Rangers 3:0 in the
only meeting last year.
San Jose - Pittsburgh U6 -120
- I had a couple thoughts regarding both teams the other night, mainly
how PIT is now 0-17 on the PP without Malkin. Combine this with
Nabokov's brilliant run in the last 6 games he has held the opposition
to 1 goal 5 times and 2 goals once. Pittsburgh carried a 2:1 lead @LA
into the 3rd but fell apart late. The two meetings last year both
finished 2:1. Surprised this is at 6. |

I haven't been able to bet the last couple of days due to long hours at work. Looking to make up for the lost time tonight!
Also, can somebody post their thoughts on money management. I currently have a bankroll of $400, so one unit for me is $4, or 1% of my account. Needless to say, $4 is not that exciting, even if I make 3-5 bets that night of a unit each.
Does anybody play with units being more than 1% of their bankroll? Would you suggest deviating from this strategy to make it more exciting? I do not really want to increase my bankroll for whatever reason, but am thinking of upping my unit size, but also don't want to go broke if I hit a losing streak. Any advice would be appreciated.
I will take your comments to heart and post my picks a bit later on |

You are on the correct track. Use 3% instead, I do like the idea you are alerady using a conservative aproach. That is the key in gambling, take small steps.
