#1 Posted: 11/3/2009 9:51:49 PM I was thinking about this today..I dont like watching it, I have no favorite team, i have no teams i hate. I can probably be the most objective of any of the sports I would bet on.
thoughts?

But who said being objective is a variable when capping the sport. In other words, why does that guarantee you would end up hitting at more than 55% to make a profit ?

#3 Posted: 11/3/2009 10:00:57 PM I would say there's probably more opportunity in the nba just because the diffrential between the teams is a lot bigger.. more risky for the books because easier for good cappers to exploit
u still have to play at a low vig book tho like 5dimes or matchbook or betjamaica to have any shot at making any kind of money just like hockey

#6 Posted: 11/3/2009 10:07:49 PM Haha Game there are people betting players salaries on games.
These guys can never get enough money.
NBA is so hard. Just watch the contests. Watch how many NHL people are + units compared to NBA and you will see. |

#7 Posted: 11/3/2009 10:13:04 PM hockey refs/players can throw games too and they make far less money than nba guys
honestly i doubt an nba player would risk it

#10 Posted: 11/4/2009 6:15:56 AM Its the attitude. You just know some teams take a night off now and then. I've noticed Friday games can be tough to cap because you dont know who's looking to play and who's just going through the motions so they can go out and party...IMO |

#23 Posted: 11/5/2009 1:14:18 AM I believe thats why I've been doing so well in the NHL Devils...I could give a crap who wins. Born and raised 45 minutes outside of Boston....so the Bruins are "my team"...but other than that I just look at the basics. Who's on fire, who's the goalie, what have the teams done in the last 5 games.
NBA could be a nice switch for ya. Unfortunately the normal trends and such have been out of whack this year.

#25 Posted: 11/5/2009 2:25:27 AM I had Mavs ML and lossed because they missed 2 Free Throws with 10 seconds left and a 3 point lead and then blow the game in OT |
