#26 Posted: 10/17/2009 12:36:29 PM http://lightning.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=502410 says Antero Niittymaki will get his third start of the season.
nothing yet from either Pittsburgh paper about the Penguins goalie BUT they don't play again until Tuesday so I would expect Marc-Andre Fleury (Danny Bylsma's not stupid) |

Goaliepost was the only site I knew of till today. Is there more out there? |

#29 Posted: 10/17/2009 12:39:17 PM Most of the time now the actual team websites will announce them like Rat just posted. I don't blame them, why let a newspaper or blog give the news out when your own site can get the hits with the info. |

In the past few days, we've had about 4 different sites listed for goalies.

This thread is definitely very useful. Just saying that I suppose I don't have to continually update anymore as people seem to have the same info all over the place.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "Empty Netters" blog says "Marc-Andre Fleury (6-0-0, 2.27 GAA, .917 SV%) and Antero Niittymaki (2-0-0, 2.00 GAA .932 SV%) are the expected starters in net." |

#34 Posted: 10/17/2009 12:47:35 PM As long as the info is good. But really, Goalie post and the other sites just have links to local bloggers, team sites and newspapers. I have most of them book marked for each team, but don't put a huge trust in them till I see something on the teams website or from a beat reporter |

Ok, I guess I should say anyone offical with the team. Now teams use twitter and such.
Damn kids, in my day you went to the local bar and saw if the starting goaltender was getting too drunk or not to see if he was playing the next day. |

Thanks LRR
I suppose I came off sounding like I felt unappreciated. That wasn't my intention.
And it's not like $10 is a big deal. Just wish I would've waited to front the cash. I mean...where the heck were all of these sites last year?

Do you have an exact link for that. Because all I know of is going to each teams home page and looking instead of having it all in one place like weeble post.

don't we all WISH it was that easy.
Bettman's a jerk off for not mandating that the coachs LIST their GOALIE at LEAST a couple hours before game time. freeking pitcher in baseball is a major handicapping tool in that sport BUT I can make an argumets that the goalie is 5X more important in hockey than the pitcher ever is.
in fact ALL the coachs playing "secret squirrel" with goalies, injuries, ect is one of the HUGE reasons that NHL Hockey is not as popular here in the states as the other three "major" pro sports. |
