Avs +121 @ Stars -131
Raycroft showed signs that he's different this year. That's only one game so I'm being realistic but truth is so far, he's been getting good favor with the scheduling. Last game, he faced a team he was successful against in his career in the Flyers. This time around, he's facing a team he's had a lot of success against. He is 2-0 stopping 54 of 55 shots for a ridiculous .982 SV%. Now I'm not saying he's all of a sudden a stud but we have to be careful assessing what can be given historical numbers. As far as Turco is concerned, given his historical numbers, I'm finding it weird that I'm not as confident with him in this spot even though we're talking about Raycroft for crying out loud. In '07-'08, he was not successful against the Avs going 1-2 .913 SV%. In'06-'07, he went to 2-0 against the Avs even though he only had a .878 SV%. This means one of two things. Either the Avs improved against him in 07-08 or they Stars just didn't have the offensive production. That said, Stars have taken 4 out of their last 5 home games against the Avs. So far, all 3 of Colorado's losses have come in the third period. They have not trailed in the second intermission so far. Last time out, they were off to a great start and they never looked back. This is the same kind of outlook and game plan they must have if they are to win this game. Is this possible against Turco? I don't see why not. He's given up 17 goals in 4 games started.
All I'm saying is be careful falling in love with Stars too quickly.
Best Play: Avs Team total Over 2.5 -118
I'll try to be back for more games later as time permits. GL today guys.
