Melo's team has been doing well the last couple years and were expected to do well this year and that was before AI got there. AI has made more all star games than Steve and Stephon so dont mention all star games as comparison. Look at stats last year and this year (PRESENT TIME) and you can honestly not even think of comparing the two. You are an idiot. AI has had a much better career than Franchise and Marbury. Who will make the hall of fame??? AI will definitely get there. Will either of those NY duds make it??? Hell no.
Get your shit together OC. You know nothing about basketball.
Allright lets go at it tough guy.
How is Melo an Allstar right now? Hasnt been selected as far as I know.
Why look at stats last year and this year? Starbury and francis have already tanked. Something that I am predicting will happen to Melo and AI in a couple years. When those guys went to NY, they were both playing very good basketball. Since then, not so much. Sure Anthony and Iverson have played good ball and have great stats this year, but look what is happening to them already since being paired up. It is almost a train wreck in Denver. They are not going to make the playoffs. No need to compare 'current' stats. The damage has already been done in NY and has started to take effect in Denver
As I said above when they went to NY they had career averages of:
Starbury - 21, 8 and 3
Franchise - 20, 6 and 6
And before the Denver trainwreck:
Iverson - 28, 6 and 4
Anthony - 23, 6 and 3
Iverson can score a ton. Melo can as well when its his team. But playing together they are not effective. Have you watched them play together? THEY WILL NOT SUCCEED the way it is going. I saw them in person last friday. The rest of the team just stands around and lets them "and 1" to a loss
In the 5 games that they have played together, the nugs are 2-3 with 2 of the losses at home to shitty teams.
Melo has shot (52-119) 43% in those games - 5% under his season average
AI has shot (42-96) 435 in those games. - 4% under his season average
Melo has more turnovers than assists in those 5 games.
Melo has more fouls than defensive rebounds in those 5 games
JR Smith has shot 4% worse since "the two" joined up
Also, why does it matter who makes the HOF? Isnt the point to win a ring? Sure these two will put up huge stats together but will also come up with more losses than wins. The fans of denver will grow tired of giving up 115 pts a game and watching just 2 players score 30+ pts for their team.
Nuggets will be in the lottery this year.
