Is this line gsw-6 based on kawhi not playing? Why not wait till game time before placing this bet. If he does happen to suit up, I think the spread will drop by at least a few points.

If KL is announced to play at game time, do you think the spread goes down? To say: 5.0. Maybe many ppl are ready to pound the Spurs once he's ruled in. Books set this line with the uncertainty, and the players have been told to act down n out imo. Thoughts?

Because the line will rise if he is confirmed out.
This is a gamble and a line that is in a bit of limbo.

I read your comments and have come to a conclusion....Bob has a few legitimate points. The Spurs are "No Push-Overs", especially at Home!!! And being down 2-0 you can bet Leonard will be playing on Saturday...Pop isn't going to show his hand and won't let his players tip their hand either. That's classic Popovich, schooling his players on how to give an interview.
Here is a few points I think you should consider Scal.....
-Spurs are 4-1 ATS after allowing more than 125 points their previous game.
-Spurs are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games playing on 3 or more days of rest(Just what the doctor ordered for this banged up/older Spurs squad).
-Warriors are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 3 or more days of rest.
-Warriors are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game.
What this tells me is that we will be facing a focused and determined Spurs squad with Leonard in the line-up on Saturday!!! It also tells me that the Warriors tend to lose focus during extended periods of rest and after routing teams.
And lastly, do you think it was coincidence that the league gave these 2 teams.....3 Days Off between games #2 and #3 ??? I don't think so. I think the league knew the Spurs being the older/weaker team was going to need a little help. So Wa-La.....Magically 3Days Of Rest for the Spurs and more time for Leonard to repair his injured ankle. I just seems to me like the NBA wants this series to go a little more than 4 Games and if that is the case, nothing is guaranteed for the Golden State Warriors.....Not even a series win!!!
Thanks Guys.....
IF focus on each side is the issue, do you really think the Dubs will be "less focused"? The argument above is implicitly addressing that and these ATS figures (that the Dubs will realx) are not applicable for a playoff game of this magnitude. But nice write up.

I see your points but all I'm saying is this game favors the Spurs!!!
Being down 2-0 with 3 days rest and playing with the Home Crowd. Undoubtedly playing with Leonard...These Spurs should be Laser Sharp and ready to play. I could easily see Golden State just being happy holding serve and Home Court Advantage. Remember, they could have easily lost Game #1.
All momentum lies with the Spurs in Game #3.....Let's see if the Warriors can withstand the early onslaught and hang in there the 1st Half. If they can do that, with Leonard playing, then they deserve to win Game #3.....

Undoubtedly playing with Leonard???
No practice Thursday.
No practice Friday.
"Just watching practice. Just getting treatment."
"I'm day to day."
Question: What's your pain level at right now.
"I'm not sure. I'm just trying to get it better and then I'll know if I can play."

Like Spurs think Leonard will play regardless you will get a great game plan and a team at home that's not getting blown out. I am taking the six and will be adding to it. Good luck enjoy the read

1. "Anything you can do I can do better"
I'm plagiarizing this angle from BegginerBoy. He saw, early on, that these 2 teams could go 12-0 into the finals. Many of us, including me, gave him a smile and a hand wave. Well here we are a mere 5 games away with Lebron turning his back to players like Kelly and scoring with ease, and the Warriors dropping 136 on the Spurs.
The Cavs are likely going to roll the Celtics (even Brad Stevens has fallen into the Derozan trap of quoting openly he is in awe of Lebron, a big no-no), so the Warriors are even more motivated to take care of business on their end and do something historic.
They did something historic last year by winning 73 but didn't close the deal. By going 12-0 into the Finals, they will break a record and the Cavs are not guaranteed to do so anyway. This is a motivator (small, by relevant).
2. This is the Warrior Super Team everyone feared.
People are actually COMPLAINING the playoffs are boring. Why? These two teams are on another level and that level is unforeseen in my lifetime, only equated by the mid-90's Bulls, or perhaps close to it.
Durant healthy, Curry playing his highest level of ball all year, team clicking on all cylinders. If Klay could have dropped a meager 20, the Warriors would have scored close to 150 in game 2 (imagine that...in the playoffs...against Pop and Spurs of all teams).
The numbers are staggering:
You know them but I want you to see them again:
25-1 SU I their last 26
19-7 ATS in their last 26
NO ONE is beating them. And if you can't beat them, 6 is not a number to fear on the level of getting backdoored.
You are on the right side, buddy. Only question is the cover. Man, did I blow it with that first game. I gotta say, I thought about it a long time, and I don't think I would have changed anything. It just did not work out. One of those days. I think Kerr being in the locker room had a lot to do with it. I had that game and the Cavs game 1 against the Celtics circled to close out my teaser. What a shame.

I agree the spread is not sterling BB. But this is a gamble of Kahwi and his general health and abilities even if he does play.
I like that Durant came out yesterday and said he's 100% certain Kawhi would play. That's fine. That means the Warriors, as expected are game-planning for him.
And again even if he does play, this doesn't sound promising:
"I'm getting better. I just want to be able to push off with both legs," said Leonard.
You're gonna need a lot more than that against this team.
BB we've seen the Warriors do this before, in particular, the 4th quarter of Game 7 in the Finals last year and the first quarter (11 points!) in Game 6 as well.
They put up these stinkers as they did in Game 1 of this series and it too big a hole to get over the meager 4. Then, as is your usual style after getting handed the shaft, Game 2 was the belated Mother's Day massacre you had predicted, and was it ever a destruction of the highest order.

If betting were as easy as fading the public we'd all be BILLIONAIRES. Everyone knows about fading the public. That's why this site offers concensus.
Betting the Warriros for reasons beyond "Ah man, it's the WARRIORS" as I STATED IN THE WRITE-UP justifies a side and makes your talking points largely irrelevant.
Great point, if betting was so easy. I'm on the spurs first and fg, but you make a great point. gl,ff.
