BULLS PERSPECTIVE Bulls coming off a huge win to close out against the Bucks. I think the Bucks played just as bad as the Bulls did good. I'm trying not to look too much into it. Same goes for the 2 losses they suffered against the Bucks. They were unmotivated and thought they had the series locked up - 2 things that won't even be a question this series against the Cavs.
Everybody and their brother knows that this is the team the Bulls have been waiting to play. This is the team that Derrick Rose had in his mind while rehabbing his knee. This is what the Bulls as a team have been brought together to do. To beat LeBron and the Cavs. They know their time as a unit is coming to an end, and want to seize the opportunity.
CAVS PERSPECTIVE Cavs have been resting for over a week now. They cruised past Boston (each game was tough but a sweep is a sweep) and have been gameplanning how to play without Love and JR Smith - atleast for two games. Will there be some rust from not competing at a playoff level for over a week? Most likely.
The Cavs have not been too worried about other teams this entire year. They know that if they handle themselves correctly and play their game, they can beat anybody. They know that the Bulls possess the best chance of beating them and will not be taking them lightly. They know it is going to be a very physical series as well.
GAME 1 I see Chicago coming out with a ton of energy. Grabbing an early lead, but the Cavs slowly chipping away. Cavs go into halftime down a few points. The Cavs come out of halftime a little rusty again, and have a terrible 3rd quarter. Lebron and Kyrie keep answering and making runs, but can't complete the comeback. The role players are not comfortable stepping up in this big of a situation (yet) - Bulls win this one by 6 with some late free throws. - CHI 90 CLE 84

Just reading your write up now. A damn near perfect cap, well done
Thanks Sac! If I remember correctly, we spoke a few months back about the Bulls and how we are both Chicagoans. After watching this team the entire year, I have a great feel for them. Really looking forward to Wednesday's game!

I see the Wizards playing a good game here. They've been playing good all postseason and there's no reason to think it will change. However, at 5-0 so far this postseason, we'd be foolish to think they're going to take both games in Atlanta against the #1 seeded Hawks.
I don't care how overrated you think the Hawks may be. And how the entire season you said that this was going to happen once the playoffs hit. I'm telling you now, that the Hawks are still a great team. They hit the Nets at a terrible time. They were playing their best ball all season and D-Will was trying to silence the critics. - I understand that Washington is also playing their best ball, but I have to question the motivation in this one. I understand it's a playoff game and motivation should never be a question, but up 1-0 already snagging a game in Atlanta, I think they might get ahead of themselves and come out with a little less concentration.
Also, we can't ignore that John Wall and Brad Beal are banged up. I think one of them has an off game, if not both.
Atlanta is one of the best shooting teams in the league. I don't know percentages throughout the season but anybody who watches them know they rely on spacing and the 3 ball heavily. They shot 15-49 on uncontested shots! 15-49!!!!!! And they still almost won the game! They won't even come close to being this bad. If they make 10 more shots, this game is damn near a blowout. They almost blew them out in the first game if they didn't have a terrible 2nd half.
I see the Hawks coming out and competing early with a lot of energy. The Wizards will match this energy for a short amount of time. I see the Hawks adding 4-5 points on their lead after every quarter. They'll be up around 10 or so at halftime and then continue to pour it on in the 2nd half. They won't forget that they were up 9 at half in Game 1 - They'll want to add to their lead and pour it on.

Underdog, great WRITEUP brotha. As a Chicagoan myself, I was spot game 1 as well. Never a doubt about them winning game 1; it was a must. The bulls knew they had to bring it and they did. I expect the cavs to be better and I expect them to get to the line more as well thus creating more easy points for them. I'm interested to see the adjustments their so called coach blatt makes on that pick and roll. I think he's a garbage coach. If you see the, in the huddle, none of the players seem to take anything in that he offers; especially lebron. I expect lebron to go for a triple double next game and I think Irving hits 4 or 5 threes off the transition. It would be nice to see Noah contribute a little more on the offensive end....man, has he been average at best.
As for Atlanta, I agree they bring I tonite. They know if they lose, it's over. My only worry is if there is a back door cover.....the so called coach of the year has show a t times he is awful with subs at crucial times. He let's teams back in; tonite to expect a game 6 type performance from the first round. For that to happen though, they have to control the glass.

Sco - Couldn't agree more. The backdoor definitely scares me with all those points, but I think Atlanta shoots well enough to make some late free throws if needed. Also, the Wizards aren't known for their ability to shoot. Paul Pierce all of a sudden has turned into Ray Allen, but I don't see that continuing.

Obviously Cleveland is going to come out like a bat out of hell in Game 2. But the Bulls aren't idiots. They know what's happened previously every time they take Game 1 from a LBJ team. I'm going to sit on it overnight and try to get a better feel for it. Early lean is Chicago. They might not win but I think it'll be another close game, just will depend on if they make their shots down the stretch like they did in Game 1. I'll give a little type up tomorrow.
Tonight, it's all about the Hawks!! *Welcome to Atlanta starts playing in the background*

I think if the grizz are going to contend in this game, they have to score more than 86. They actually have to score 100. Golden state has not lost the whole season when they hold their opponent under 100. Crazy stat. I'm almost positive on that stat but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. For this, the grizz know they have to control the boards, thus eliminating second chance points and transition baskets. It's like the bulls game last nite. When Cleveland got out running, the bulls had issues yet most of the game they got back. The grizz saw the blueprint last nite. With GS though, they can score in bunches so I may stear clear of the total. Thoughts anyone?
