If you're going to bet the NBA you have to be able to deal with this kind of shiit. I had the Cats today what are you gonna do, forget about it and move on. Pointless foul I do agree but some of these guys don't stop playing until the game is over no matter what.

Does anyone know…or can someone PLEASE figure out this for me…. How many games has a team that has been down 6 or more with 30 seconds or less come back and WON after fouling down 6+?
Figure even if the team misses both, you are still down 6…. even if you make a 3 you are still down 3.. you foul with 15 seconds and the team makes both this time….still down 5…..make another 3….down 2….foul with 5 seconds….team makes 1 of 2…down 3….. you have a chance to tie….. but still…that's being down 6……
I can see teams fouling down 4-5 with 30-40 secs left…but not 6,7,8 +
I've seen teams foul down 12 with like 15-25 seconds left….. like really….. what's the point of this???
I've been betting NBA for about 10-11 years and it's just the way it is….. losing team basically just fouling because they are sore losers and players ego's get in the way or something from the other team just dribbling out the clock….. dribbling out the clock is like a dagger in your heart if you played your heart out all game and lose….. (not that many players play their hearts out these days)

While teams have been fouling late for decades with against insurmountable leads, I really believe this game and comeback changed the landscape for bettors as every team thinks this is possible (which it is, but it is so infinitesimally improbable, ya have to wonder), and the kids of yesterday who saw it and remember it are the ones playing the game today:

Also, flashback to Rodney Rodgers and again, players think this is possible with steals/fouls etc.:

Isn't it amazing how players will foul down 8, as to say "We haven't given up!!!" but that same player won't shoot a 3 quarter court shot (obviously having a exponentially better chance of hitting that shot than winning a game down 8 with 4 seconds) before halftime with 2 seconds left because he doesn't want to ruin his shooting percentage?
Lebron wade and durant and too many to count are famous for holding the ball in those spots.

The reason they foul and take notice is two type of teams..... Teams like the bobcats that are young and will make a playoff appearance and teams like the Bucks that are getting progressively better as the season goes on because they are young.
you have to think of these kind of situations as garbage time. They treat it like practice. They know that 98% of the time they're not going to win. But this gives them an opportunity to "PRACTICE" late game plays, drawing up high percentage shots, close out plays, and defensive schemes. The other team welcomes this too...... this scenerio was CLEARLY evident yesterday as teh Bucks were down by 9 with 30+ seconds to go and fouled a bunch of times ended up bring the game OVER when it was going under by like 10-15 points and only lost the game by 6 points.
This is crucial when legitametely capping a game with 3-7 point spread as shiit like this will be a determinining factor in both ATS and O/U. Vegas knows this shiit to a T they have way more information and insane computers with unreal databases. Pick your spot wisely and pay attnetion to the line movement more often than not it will help you pick the right side..... especially on the totals.
