Earlier this morning, I heard Michael Wilbon on ESPN make a case that PAUL GEORGE is the league's MVP.
To me, the media struggles with NBA defensive player of year awards and they really struggle to vote for the same guy three years in a row.
Instead, they look for reasons to look the other way.
My case for LBJ is their
1) team record is good.
2) he is near 60% from the field 40% from 3
3) leads league in efficiency again
etc...etc...etc...
The case for Paul George cannot simply be "look at the pacers record"
LBJ got robbed of an MVP when the media did this crap and gave it to D Rose because D Rose was NOT lebron james and the media was hell bent on giving the award to anyone other than LBJ.
Then they come back and look at their f-up later and say, maybe it should have been LBJ.
As a reminder...LBJ out stats George in everything.
One also has to ask is George even 1st team All NBA?

Lebron also has a better supporting cast then any other team. So while he has great numbers, it also reflects the team he is on. Sometimes the MVP shouldn't be based on numbers but rather value. If you took LBJ off Miami they would most likely still be good. You could also say they have 4 franchises on their roster.
