Pop lost this game for the Spurs. Made a tactical error in giving in to Miami's small ball last 30 sec when he hasn't the whole series. Subbed Duncan out of the 2 most crucial defensive situations for the Spurs. Should have kept him in there, I don't think Diaw would be quicker/faster than Duncan anyway. 2 crucial 3 ptrs off 2 crucial offensive rebounds. Had the spurs got even 1 out of the 2 misses it would've been all over. no OT.

Ginobli made 3 of 4 ft's down the stretch. There's a reason Duncan wasnt on the floor, it just played out wrong, but I dont fought him for taking Duncan out, its obvious why he was out.

Yourdaddy ur right about free throws. But if spurs foul game is over. Heat no timeouts and couldnt advance ball. If u foul wit 5 sec left ur still up 1 with ball and thats if heat hit both. If u hit ur fts foul again and even if u miss 1 heat gota go length of court in under 5 sec to beat u or tie. It makes no sense why coaches dont automatically foul in that situation. For u to lose if u foul so Many things gota happen but if u dont foul all they gota do is hit 1 3 which is about a 40% chance of going in. And with ray allen in a spot like that its prob more like 50%. So ur basically flipping a coin when if u foul they gota hit both fts then spurs gota miss fts then heat gota go length of court with no timeouts. The odds drop dramatically

Is he supposed to teach Ginobli and Leonard to hit a free throw.
If either of them hits one of those we are not even having this convo and Spurs are raising the trophy.
Popovich is huge reason they are here.....
How many coaches do u know that can get a team ready after being blown out by Miami twice in playoffs
Yup I do credit Pop as a great coach probably one of the best all time. All I am saying is it was a mistake on his part to pull out Duncan.
Missed Fts are part of the game, even the best shooters miss from time to time during crunch time.
In my opinion it would've been easier for the Spurs had Duncan been in the game. If you look at the lineup that was in the game during that time, Spurs were in an obvious mismatch and Duncan is the best rebounder the Spurs have.
And I don't understand why he was out, last 30 sec of the game, lets say he's tired but they were coming of a timeout and I would have Duncan there 100 times out of a 100 than Diaw who's shorter and slower than Duncan.

I think Pop is thinking if I dont pull Duncan theyll probably foul him and send him to the line, he's played that card many times, almost sure thats what he was thinking. Also Heat need 3's therefore with 3's when you miss them there are long rebounds, Duncan wouldnt probably get long rebounds, but smaller quicker guards who are already on the perimeter usually get them and also those guys on the Spurs are better at handling the ball and shooting free throws.

Manu Ginobili 8 turnovers and two crucial TO's at end of game. He's slow and is getting beat all over the court. His last game was a miracle at scoring 24 pts. Bet you'll never see that happen again for him. He'll be traded next season for sure or be cut from the team.

But Bosh got the rebound by out reaching the smaller guards. Duncan would have and should have gotten that board. Up 3, just needing to sink 1 of 2 ft's then putting them up 4 under 10 secs. Pop is great but he had a bad 28 secs there.
