Based on the angle i've been using to decide picks Spurs is my initial lean for game 5 - If they win game 5 and go up 3-2 heading back to Miami will almost guarantee a 7 game series. Something the league would like. But looking @ the line opening @ PK i'd lean Miami based on that.

I read that "Heat seeking to end trend of "bipolar basketball" in NBA Finals." - perhaps indicating the need to eradicate the bounce back/back against the wall/must win games after losses and go all out from each game on out until they hold that trophy. No more lapses and mediocrity........

Who knows right now.....i'm waiting on Ref assignment to help determine the play here. goo luck on your capping on the mean time pare

let's see.....Spurs blow out Miami in game 3 as 2 pt faves and come back as a mere 1.5 fave, wich dwindled to 1 and ultimately to home dogs?!?! Bad Spot to take Spurs there based on the line alone. Spurs lose game 4 and now the game is a PK!?!? Wouldn't you think w/ Spurs record after a loss that they would bounce back big here and be at the very least 1 pt faves? Basing it on the line alone i would have to lean Miami.

Again, have to wait for ref assignment

Like you said, this game feels a little tricky...but for e it's nothing strange that the spurs are Pk now, after a blowout.Or at last,it would be useful to know what the public thinks about it,because it could have an entirely different prospective that you have.
The answer will probably be the money percentage just before the game.

Crook Crawford ref'd just 2 games ago. I think his nxt assignment will be the final game in this series. Wether that's in game 6 or 7. He'll seal the Miami victory for the Heat.

If Spurs are to win game 5 i think somebody like Monty McCutchen or Jason Phillips will get the assignment. We'll wait & see.

QUOTELet me just reiterate how vital i think ref assignment is in determining a play for game 5.

Game 5??

That's 4 games straight where the ref stats are determining wich team wins the game. The stats aren't lying. Take in consideration also that they sent Joe Crawford for game 2 (Miami win) & Scott Foster game 4 (Miami win) - both of wich when reffing Heat games in the playoffs known to favor Miami & Miami comes away w/ a win. It's no coincidence.

I highly recommend waiting until the refs are revealed to make a play for game 5.

When the home team is a dog by 0-4.5 (betting spread - Spurs are 1.5 home dog) this season, refs are combined 20-18 ATS. 53% for home dog.

also and this prob is not relevant what so ever.......

In their last 10 games refs are a combined:

MIA 19-10 SU / 11-19 ATS
SAS 26- 4 SU / 23-7 ATS

Leaning:

SAS +1.5

Wade and Bosch will not put 2 games like that together   Duncan takes out Bosch .Wades health would be a miracle to play again like he did last game  Love the over last 2 games  .Also liked it game 1 (just missed with many open shots being missed by both teams .   Spurs 5-0 in finals when series is tied winning next game   Spurs take this 99-96

All i know is when Miami wins they get the calls that they don't receive when they lose. furthermore when they have won they have sent in 'Miami-Friendly' Refs (Crawford/Foster/Callahan). Today they've sent what looks like Spurs-Friendly refs. Tony Brothers &  Monty Mccutchen reff'd game 1 (Spurs SU win). Outside of the 'Conspiracy' angle this may be the last home game for Duncan/Parker & Manu - they will throw the kitchen sink and plumbing attached. Hopefully the Zebra's help them come out w/ a victory.

To be honest i was hoping the refs favoured the rd fave as i did like Miami based on the line. But i gotta follow through on this pattern wich is 4-0 so far in these finals. Good Luck to us

Monty Mccutchen In the last 2 playoffs reffing Heat games:

game 5 bos/mia ecf finals 2012 (bos win)
game 4 dal/mia (dal win)
game 1 mia/okc (okc win)

Only exception is he ref'd game 5 of the mia/okc game where Miami eventually won the finals.

Just something to ponder.

1h

MIA 12PF's - SAS 9PF's
MIA 11FT's - SAS 17FT's

Very Spurs-Friendly Refs indeed. Let's see if they continue the favorable calls in the 2h

I'm 74% basing picks solely on officiating/fixed/rigged angle. Picked game winner 4 out of the 5 games.

Refs stats determined winner 5 out of 5 games:

Game 1: Refs 64% for Road dogs. Spurs w
ins.
Game 2: Refs 63% for home fave. Miami wins.
Game 3: Refs 55% for home fave. Spurs wins.
Game 4: Refs 62% for road dog. Miami wins.
Game 5: Refs 53% for home dog. Spurs wins
Game 6???

I can smell either Crawford or Foster for game 6 sending this to 7 games. Who ever does not ref game 5 i wouldn't be surprised they ref game 7 to secure a Miami win.

June 12, 2011 - mavs at heat, game 6. refs were scott foster, steve javie, and derrick stafford. scott foster was reffing and the heat lost. please explain this to me using your theories. were the mavs just shooting too good and overcame the ref bias? (or heat were too cold)

Well Foster had already ref'd game 3 and Heat won in Mavs first game back home by a bucket. It would perhaps be too obvious if he was sent in game 6 to make Miami win again. Surely the league cannot allow Miami to win 100% of their games w/ Foster reffing. As obvious as these games can be at times they can't be that stupid.
