Battier and Allen getting old.... Wade looking more and more sluggish each year. Brooklyn improving, Indiana only getting better....Derrick Rose coming back 100%. This may be their last chance and I don't think they can beat the Spurs, let alone get out of this series with the Pacers.
And if they don't win it this year, that would mean the only ring they got was in a shortened season.

1). Yes the heat role players are old and d wade is not 100% and is getting older
2). Yes pacers look good...not so sure about Brooklyn
BUT
all this means is that pat Riley has to continue to do his job
No roster should remain the same .....and who really thinks the heat roster will not change
Birdman was added this year along with ray Allen and rasherd Lewis
Riley does make moves each year.......the missing piece that the Miami Heat needs is a 10 rebound per game guy....That comes to the basketball court every game to eat glass every game.....the heat does not have that....and that is a problem vs the heat.
Once lbj has this alongside bosh....an older wade And three point shooters...the heat will be fine if they have a 10 rebound per game guy.
But this matchup vs a team that is solid on the boards and this heat roster that is weak on the boards and defensively at the 4 & 5 positions is the worst possible matchup for this heat roster (except maybe Memphis)

Nice thread

Who believes that Jordan would have 3-peated twice without Pippen?...Or 3-peated once without Dennis Rodman?, or Steve Kerr?, or John Paxson?....Even the greatest of all time would not have won multiple titles if it weren't for role players...
You can flush that 4 time MVP comment down the toilet...that means nothing...Okay Nash won 2-time MVP and still played like an MVP years after...individual accolades don't mean everything.

If you watched either game not sure why you'd think the Heat are going to win this. At no point in either game did I think " Wow the Heat own these guys"; several times I thought "Wow. The pacers are a lot better than the Heat". I still think the Heat will win through some combo of refs and lights out 3 point shooting but if I had laid huge juice on heats ML I'd be really damn worried right now.

It will be hard for them to continue to run the way they like to in the next few years. Riley has done well bringing in some retreads but that won't always work out. Do guys like Chalmers and Cole stay there when their contracts are up? What is their salary cap looking like the next 2 years?
Can anyone see Kevin Garnett going there for 1 last run and retire? That would be something Riley could pull off and I would buy into them for at least next season.

You sound silly when you say " LAST CHANCE FOR HEAT ".
Have you ever heard of draft picks and free agent signings? As long as Lebron is playing like a 4 time MVP they will be a threat to win it all.
People on this site overreact so badly.
Props to the Pacers for playing 2 solid games away from home.
The real pressure comes in game 3 at home because now they are expected to win the game. ( remember the young Warriors in game 3 vs Spurs)
IMO the winner of game 3 will win the series.
Draft picks? Recent draft classes continue to get worse and considering Miami finishes with one of the top regular season records every years they won't have high draft pick. Do you understand how the draft works? Also they can't sign any more big time free agents because they dont have money too with the salary cap. That is the problem when the majority of your payroll is invested in just three players . Their window is closing not only due to the regression of the older players but their financial limitations as well.
