Licking my chops at spurs -140. The clock is ticking on this team,
window is closing, curtain is falling, however you want to look at
it....Pop knows it, and so does Manu, Duncan, and Parker. They have to
win NOW. All the pieces are in place, Leonard and Green fit in perfect
and can guard the other team's best perimeter players. Splitter will be huge in the series in guarding Randolph.
Overall, Spurs have the better offense out of these 2 teams and their defense will be able to slow down Memphis. Memphis can struggle on offense and I think they will vs the Spurs. Every game in this series should be good to watch but I see the Spurs winning in 5, worst case 6.
I could see the Spurs winning the first 2 games, dropping the next in Memphis, taking the 4th, and then winning the series back at home in game 5.

Plus when you add in Zbo, they just pound you to death inside.
MEM has the inside game advantage if you ask me.
I actually prefer Conley over Parker too bc I think Conley is a better shooter and just as fast and great decision making.
That's a joke right? Conley is a better 3 pt shooter then Parker, but Parker is way better then Conley at getting in the lane and his decision making is second to none. I think Parker is faster also.
In regard to the series also, I like the fact that Memphis had to beat Clippers who knocked them out last year and they also beat OKC who obvs won the west last year. So the grizzlies have achieved a lot already, the spurs have not achieved anything yet. They beat a garbage lakers team and golden state who is nothing special. Spurs still have work to do and they have their eyes on the title. I'm rooting for the spurs to win it all, but Miami will be a very very tough matchup for them. I don't think Spurs can beat the Heat....nobody can beat the heat 4 times actually, let's face it.

I'm on the other side ... Gasol and Randolph are much better than Duncan and Splitter. Golden State just made the Spurs look good in the series...especially the final game

Parker is better scorer and passer but Conley has edge on defense which will negate most of edge Parker edge on offense.
Diaw and Splitter have to raise their game to another lever for the Spurs to have a chance, the Spurs bigs MUST get ZBO or Gasol into foul trouble often and early.
This coming from someone who has Spurs to win WCF at +300
I will be on the dog moneyline in most games.

If you think they will take it in anything less than 7, and it appeara you are confident they will, the Spurs -1.5 games +165 is a much better bet than -140 for the series.

Nice input guys....I'm going with Spurs, they are the more desperate team at this time due to aging players and having been favorites to come out of the west for the past few years and having come up short, I think it's their time.
I respect Memphis as a team and like ZBO and Gasol, they are the best big men combo in the league. I just don't trust Memphis's offense enough....that's why I give Spurs the edge.

No mt one mention of Tony Allen! He is an above average defender. Grizz best D in the NBA. They beat okc with great defense on the second top scorer in the league. Spurs too old and this far in the playoffs they will be tired. Zebo was complaining that he wasn't getting enough offense with the previous two matchups. This is the matchup that will make him the conference finals MVP IMO. Go Grizzlies!
