Where are money to pay for staffs and player as multi hundred million dollars? ----> Selling tickets alone not going to enough to pay for all the spending, you're right but look into business like sports we are now talking, there are hundred of people watching, every channels, cable, direct TV want to broadcast a game they have to pay for it, every watcher have to pay for the utility bill like cable, directTV...etc.. some main channels like NBC, FOX ABC, broadcast you can watch it free but every ADDVERTISING in those channels is not cheap. And most important is the "FRANCHISE" every dr pepper or Gatorade sign put in side the stadium cost them million dollars for advertising because a lot of people going to see it, and every hats, T-Shirt, Pants, clothes that sell on the markets have the name of the team or name of players on it will make the franchise up to multi-billion dollars. Every time a team win a championship there are a lot of supporter who going out to buy it's franchise to wear. That's why when a team win a championship it boost up the franchise and making money for owner. And many thing else like selling foods, drinks, chips in side stadium when have a game...etc... you're not in business, you don't know many way they make money not on that fixed game to pay. Fix game only happened when you're my brother, you play for one team and I am a ref. I could have a little favor for you because you're my brother. Or may that ref gamble on one team then they favor for it.
Just share with you and good luck what ever you play. Fixed game is not common in sport.
Some time bad team can still beat a good team because on that day they are lucky and feeling good, that's why they call it an upset game but it's not offend.

It's hard for me to explain when you don't understand, did you go to college? If not, I'm sorry just waist my time. All the channels or media that is to answers for your question where are money they pay for staffs and players.
Not easy but keep in mind this, if it's a fixed game and public always lose, then no one will gamble again. All casino will go bankruptcy. May be the only person like you knowing will lose and still gamble. When people are on gamble, they have hope and seeing the profit.

Not easy but keep in mind this, if it's a fixed game and public always lose, then no one will gamble again. All casino will go bankruptcy. May be the only person like you knowing will lose and still gamble. When people are on gamble, they have hope and seeing the profit.
