greetings from the sty fellas.... another night of NBA playoff action draws near and i face the following dilemma ..... all three of these favorites are laying too much chalk for my liking, BUT to take any of these flawed dogs could be suicidal to ones wagering fortunes...i am so sick and tired of hearing about celtic pride...yes, pride is an intangible that may serve a team well, but these aging celtics will need more than pride.... i still cant lay almost double digits, even with a knick team playing on the comfort of its home court, wanting to end the misery of a hated rival in front of the home crowd..
i have read quite a few prognostications from covers posters that expect houston to cover the rather generous number in OKC...again, too much chalk to lay, but i cant trust a team as woeful as houston has been on the road....maybe OKC will use an offensive concept other than stand around and wait for durant to shoot, which dampens my enthusiasm for the thunder.....i still think durant would have an easier time on the offensive end if he played without the ball and they helped him score off screens and backdoor cuts..he can always break a defender down off the dribble and create his own shot if need be, but why make that the offense?...
others are now predicting the hawks to go into indy and break the home court pattern of success...just as some suggested the pacers would do in the ATL...dont count on it.... but it is quite amazing how the visiting team struggles so on the others home court...
my solution to the conundrum outlined above is an eight pt 3 team teaser and tease all the favorites down to -1 to +1 or something close, depending on your lines..i think the knicks might be -2 now as that line has crept up, i think...a 3 team ML parlay with odds as high as they are on the favorites would be foolish, so a 3 team 8 pt teaser 110/100 or whatever you want to risk seems to be the most prudent way to play the sides...
as far the totals....i LEAN to UNDER in the knick game, OVER at OKC, and OVER in indy...
there you have it, the opinions of a lowly barnyard animal....i hope the plays dont stink as bad as i do...
feel free to make a comment or suggest a play you like, regardless if its NBA, MLB, or even hickey, which i know nothin about except that its played by several angry men on skates...
