1. Ind+3: The Indiana Pacers are attempting to clinch the Central Division crown when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday. Indiana has won five straight games as it seeks to wrap up its first division title since the 2003-04 campaign. The Pacers would certainly like to wrap up the division title in front of the home crowd before they head on the road for Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards. “We’d like to get it, but obviously someone has to lose or we have to win on Friday,” center Roy Hibbert told reporters. “Whatever happens, happens.” The Thunder won the lone previous meeting this season, 104-93 on Dec. 9 in Oklahoma City. Claiming the division crown is a big deal for Indiana and the first goal for a squad that believes it can make a deep playoff run. “It shows that we are improving,” All-Star forward Paul George told reporters. “Chicago has really dominated it for the last couple of years. It just shows the steps this organization has taken as far as now being, or having the chance, of being a Central Division champion. Again, that is just taking baby steps to where we want to be.” The Pacers are third in the Eastern Conference and just a half-game behind the second-place New York Knicks.
Notes to consider: OKC was at home when they def. Ind last dec '12 104 - 93, wherein Reserve K. Martin scored 25pts
When Paul George 25 or more points, the Pacers are 11 - 1.
OKC is 22 - 15 away while Indi is 29 - 8 at home.
OKC coming into this matchup has an edge in PPG, FG%, FT% and Bench. While Indi coming into this matchup has an edge in Defense, Rebounding and Turnovers.
2. Noh+9: The hornets is not expected to win big time, but i think they will cover. Utah has won two of the first three matchups against New Orleans this season, including a 104-99 victory on Jan. 30. The road has not been kind to the Hornets, who haven’t recorded a win away from home since Feb. 11. New Orleans opened a five-game road trip Wednesday by shooting 39.8 percent in a 98-88 loss to Golden State. It’s easy to say lowly New Orleans is playing meaningless games at this point, but that’s certainly not the case for players battling for a spot on next season’s roster. Four players will become free agents after the season, including small forward Al-Farouq Aminu, who had 14 points against the Warriors. One player sure to return is point guard Greivis Vasquez, a candidate for the NBA's Most Improved award. Vasquez had 17 points and 13 assists against the Jazz on Jan. 30.
Notes to consider: Noh is 3 - 38 when trailing at the End of the 3rd Q.
Utah is 23 - 9 when scoring atleast a hundred points.
Mo Williams is listed Probable for toms game.
Noh has an edge in Defense, Ft% and TOs. Utah has an edge in PPG, FG%, Rebounding and Bench.
