Since G Tony Parker's injury the Spurs are 2-1. The wins came against the Pistons (a bad team that rarely ever wins or covers large underdog prices on the road)and the Bulls who are 4-10 SU and 3-11 ATS agaisnt the West. Friday night they got blown out in the 4th quarter by a mediocre at best Portland team. Porland G Damian Lillard was impressive with 35 points and 9 assist against the Parker-less Spurs. Moving forward I don't think that the Spurs are going to fall apart w/out Parker. I think they will be fine against the lesser teams in the West. However, OKC is not on that list.
OKC has been streaking of late.Winning 5 straight and 8 of 9 pulling within 1 game of the Spurs for the lead in the West. Something I think they truly understand the importance of leading. Also, they are 7-3 ATS in that stretch. They are coming off of a B2B. However, over the last two games Westbrook and Durant who usually log just under 40 minutes, have both averaged around 30 minutes. The Thunder understand the importance of this game and will be out to get this win.
Without Parker the Spurs will struggle to find points down the stretch of this game. Which just happens to be Westbrook and Durant best time of the game.
