The total was set at 183.5 for their last meeting 3 weeks ago. John Wall has since returned and Beal is expected back for tonight, though he stated he is not fully recovered. A 5 point jump is probably a little high with Wall in the lineup(Beal played last game), imo. Trevor Ariza is also back in the lineup.
The last game ended at 186 and then went into double OT. The first 3 quarters resulted in 57, 50, and 50 points. Great offense and not much defense was played initially, which was not normal for both of these teams.
Tonight, I expect a bit of a reversal. Ariza and Wall play good defense and Washington has held its 10 of its last 11 opponents under 100 points. Brooklyn is dead last in pace and the Wizards remain a poor shooting team. They are bottom 8 in ppg, off. eff., eFG%, PPS, 3 pt%, FT made, FT attempted, and FT %.
They are coming off their 2nd best offensively efficient performance of the year and I do not foresee a continuance of that flow. In fact, in the 13 times the Wiz have broken 100.0 offensive efficiency this season, in the next game, the total has gone 11-2 to the under.
Both teams are also bottom 5 in FG made per game and are top 10 defensively in ppg allowed and PPS.
I am taking the under 188.5
Good luck.
