#2 Posted: 1/17/2013 2:15:53 AM Lakers are desperate to get a quality win and keep their 2 game streak going. gasol is expected back as well and Miami on a back to back and has not put together 2 good games in a row on the road for some time now. Lebron just passed 20k pts tonight and might not be up for this game as much as you might think. Lakers are actually starting to play some defense too so the under looks good to me also along with Lakers -2.5 but gonna wait til closer to gametime and hope for -2 or 1.5

Think you guys are overthinking it.
Wade, Bosh and Lebron sat out whole 4 qrtr. And Lakers plain suck.
Lakers even when they had everyone they were losing left right and center. What's changed, they beat Bucks
Heat all the way !!!! |

#5 Posted: 1/17/2013 2:29:42 AM This line is a joke. Heat role. Its the lakers and kobe bryant. Lebron and CO. will b ready to go. Lakers are playin better defense but they do not have the athletes to play with miami in the tempo they now play under dantoni. They will get run out of gym if they try it. If they play half court slow it down game they have chance. I cant even believe lakers are favorites. That line will entice 95% action on heat |

#6 Posted: 1/17/2013 2:30:27 AM they are playing defense now and are desperate for wins. But stressing defense is the main difference.

#7 Posted: 1/17/2013 2:32:16 AM dont you guys think Vegas knows that everyone will bet Miami? this line is begging for Miami money and they also know with a limited card that everyone will bet this game. the line says it all. Look how horrible Miami has played lately after a win.

#9 Posted: 1/17/2013 2:38:58 AM i think it's a 50-50, people will take lakers, and others will take the heat, but this is what i observe to the heat's game style...The heat bring their A game when they know the opponent is an elite team or a team to beat, just like the OKC last Xmas game, but when it comes to 50% teams, they struggle to win, and sometimes they cannot get the W in the late games... so when it comes to Lakers, they're not a .500 team, but the HEAT knows that the lakers are capable of beating them |

#12 Posted: 1/17/2013 3:04:16 AM cavs is a shitty team, anyone can beat that team, bucks, well 50% team, ok........ but still, Lakers are struggling very hard on a playoff contender teams!! that's what I observed.. even though they're complete, no injuries and stuff. they got swallowed whole!! |

#13 Posted: 1/17/2013 3:58:24 AM Heat struggle with length and Lakers will get back Gasol and along with Howard, Heat will foul em all night, Nash should also be able to keep with Wade and that leaves a terrific battle between Kobe and LeBron.
I like the Lakers in this one, Heat are in a funk right now and even though Lakers are nothing special as of yet, the size difference should be a little lop sided imo.

theguru1 speaks the truth. The Heat are 1-4 SU & 0-5 ATS following their last five wins. Also, this season they are 3-1 SU but only 1-3 ATS on the second of back-to-back nights. The lone win and cover came against the Bobcats, which as you know, doesn't count.

#19 Posted: 1/17/2013 6:27:31 AM Wait, the Heatles are 4-1 SU and 2-3 ATS on the second of back-to-back nights. I missed their win in Denver back on November 15th.

Yeah Miami getting points against LA is too good to be true. I want to take LA because of the fishy line and public hammering Miami, instead I play the Under (205). If the line is fishy and LA wins, they will win by playing defense. |

#23 Posted: 1/17/2013 9:30:11 AM LA is the rested home team here and Miami is coming off a b2b, that's the reason the line isn't closer to a pick'em
If Miami loses tonight, it won't be because they don't show up to play, it'll be because they get killed on the glass. I think they win a close game here, they have a 5 game layoff after tonight and they can get to 3-3 on this West coast trip after a pathetic start, a win here on national TV would help atone their hideous play as of late...not to mention Lebron with Miami has owned the Lakers since he came to town |
