Wednesday Plays:
5 units: Chicago -2.5 @ Toronto Chicago is 4-1SU last 5 on the road Chicago is 7-1SU last 8 games vs Toronto Chicago is 11-5SU last 16 games in Toronto
Jumping on this one early. Been riding Toronto alot lately, but going to flip on them this one and take Chicago. B2B situation for Toronto having played Tuesday in Brooklyn. I see the key to this game being the rebounding and size of Chicago. We saw a little bit of this in Toronto's last home game vs Milwaukee. The sub par Milwaukee frontcourt dominated the glass and had one of their best games of the year. Chicago's frontcourt is on a different level and should cause all sorts of problems for the Toronto bigs. Toronto is the 3rd worst rebounding team in the league with 40.0 rpg.
Toronto has relied on quick starts last few games and have gotten off to good starts thanks to mainly Jose Calderon who should struggle with the Bulls pgs. I really like playing elite defensive teams vs. young/inexperienced teams as youth brings speed but also brings confusion and frustration when faced with tough defenses. Toronto has has youth, and they've shown they struggle against defensive, physical teams. I see them struggling to score in this one and don't see them scoring anymore then 90 points in this game. Most likely around the 85 point range. I think the second chance points and rebounding battle will be enough to have Chicago score 90-95. You never know 100% with Chicago what team will show up, but I think they'll bring enough to cover this small line.
Will add more plays later.
Early Leans.
Indiana -1.5 Seems like an off line
New Orleans +8 Like the way NO has been playing but B2B spot and tough game for them.
Portland -7 Cleveland has been awful on the road, Portland has been $ at home. Simple enough
Washington +4.5 Wall hasn't played all that much, but since he's come back into the lineup they've been playing quite well.
Lots of big matchups with no lines yet. |

#4 Posted: 1/16/2013 1:27:18 AM i like the wizards play, but they are still the Wizards.
I should have locked in the Pacers at -1, the line has all ready moved to -1.5, also the Bulls Raptors is now 3.5. going to cap the pacers game a little more b4 i make my play.
also, can't wait for the okc denver line to come out.

#5 Posted: 1/16/2013 1:30:12 AM No idea how you got Bulls at -2.5 since everywhere opened up at -3. Anyways - Love the play. GL |

#6 Posted: 1/16/2013 1:30:27 AM lewsparks - I wanted to jump on Pacers -1 but it seemed fishy. wanted to cap a bit more before jumping in. I'd take -2 or -3 in exchange for the time to look at it more.
risktaker - Chicago is my favorite play of the plays that are released. There may be a game where the line isn't out yet that i like more but as of now it's my best play for tomorrow. |

#9 Posted: 1/16/2013 1:43:59 AM I love the bulls, im from Utah, and we should have never let Boozer go. Anyway, the only thing that concerns me about the Bulls is how they can trash another team and then go get trashed by the Hawks or the Suns. I took the Bulls in that suns game and lost, also, i think the suns were coming off a b2b as well, go figure.
talk to ya tomorrow

#10 Posted: 1/16/2013 2:07:01 AM Yep bulls can throw up stinkers but...I'd rather take chi and feel they'll show up then take Toronto and hope Chicago throws up one of their stinkers. |

#12 Posted: 1/16/2013 3:53:10 AM Good luck on the Bulls. I like them a lot as well but I took Indiana -1 instead and may jump on the Bulls tomorrow but not too sure yet.
Pacers -1 is fishy to me but I think they can take care of the Magic regardless and win this one by a good 8+ easy |

#13 Posted: 1/16/2013 4:00:31 AM On the same Chicago play Sir (-3.5) and I also grabbed Orlando. IMHO it's either Orlando or no play at all as Indiana -1.5 doesn't make any sense. Good Luck to all of us |

#22 Posted: 1/16/2013 10:34:32 AM How about Atl-Bkn?
Line screams for us to take BKN. So what do you say about ATL? |

#23 Posted: 1/16/2013 10:59:44 AM Milky - I wouldn't touch that line. Seems pretty sharp to me. Truly zero lean for me. Two pretty evenly matched teams. Atlanta will want to bounce back from that emvarrassment against chicago and are good at home. Brooklyn has been playing well though. If I had to play I would probably take Atlanta but I wouldn't feel good about it |

#24 Posted: 1/16/2013 11:00:19 AM Unless you happen to be going to that bk/atl game there are much better games on the board. |

#25 Posted: 1/16/2013 11:04:04 AM Same thoughts as me. It just seems that there's pretty big RLM over there, adding to the fact that ATL played horrible and on a losing streak whereas BKN is on a run (means that i really wanna pick atlanta). Just a thought because i know you never analyse line movements so i wondered if you would consider that... |
