Logically and my numbers put the LAL/HOU game under as well but with the reverse movement on the under, does that not concern you?

Atlanta Hawks -1  (1.1 to win 1)

After two straight rough losses against the Pistons and Celtics, I look for the Hawks to take this game and tomorrow night's game down against weaker opponents.  Without Love and probably Pekovic for the Wolves, they lose their top two rebounders and about 90% of their size.  Atlanta needs that to be able to win this game...the Wolves are ranked #1 in rebounds, while the Hawks are 23rd.  Without those bigs in the game, Horford should be able to do very well.

Prediction:  Hawks 94  Wolves 90

Not really an overwhelming amount of people on the UNDER right now...I see it going back down to 220 or even 219.5 by tipoff...

I mainly jumped on the 221 for that reason...best value.

sweetjones55 is on the heat, so don't expect that line to go to -2.0 or lower

Thanks for the great plays CMJ.
My bookie has Hawks +1, is it a write up on your play, or is my bookie just lost om this line? :)

It actually is at -2.0
Surprising since most bets by SJ55 move accordingly to the 70% he's hit in the past 5-6 weeks

You should take it now, it's probably a reaction to the uncertain status of Lebron James. Once he is confirmed to play, it should be back to -2.5 or -3.0

This line has skyrocketed in the past hour or so...and I'm going to take it now just in case it goes back down a bit.  Without Gasol and Howard, the Lakers lose about 25-30% of their offense.  We will see a lot more of Robert Sacre, Jordan Hill, and Devin Ebanks down low.  Gasol was a soft defender, and Howard certainly wasn't anywhere close to where he had been in past years on the defensive end.  I believe that the young players will want to buckle down and put in maximum effort...something that has been missing big time from the Lakers this season.  Kobe will be able to do enough offensively to keep them somewhat competitive...but I don't see it getting up that high.  Figure the Lakers to be around the 96-102 mark...and I don't think they get beat by 20+

Prediction:  Rockets 109  Lakers 101

I would be cautious only because rockets will score a lot I think. No bigs leaves them wide open for the slasher harden. Lin seems to play better vs better team SOMETIMES but mostly sucks a lot.  Rockets should win and cover but as for the over and under...  I say over just because rockets don't play D very well and lakers will be playing catch up at the end shooting a lot which leads to fast breaks.
Gasol shot too many long shots and missed those. Howard always takes time to develop his low post game. They aren't like Blake Griffen and deandre Jordan just running and dunking or ally oops. This should be a high scoring fast pace game. But just a feeling.

Isn't Harden pretty much a lock to score 40 points in this game without any bigs on LAL team?

With Pekovic in the game, I would not have bet on the Hawks.

As far as the Lakers are concerned...their hot 3-point shooting early on caused the Rockets to play much more up tempo...anyone who thought the Lakers would go 14-31 from 3 is smoking some good s.h.it.

If you think the Rockets can play any other tempo, you may want to switch to weaker s.h.i.t. yourself. They are the new Warriors!
