#9 Posted: 12/26/2012 8:03:52 AM Doubt it, Clippers are younger, faster and deeper than the Celtics. They are playing at home and both teams are off b2b games, which favors LA.

Its not a track meet, its a basketball game...also the game is thursday and both teams had one day of rest (not B2b). Also, when the Celtics get Bradley back, its arguable if the clippers are deeper... |

Celtics have bad transition defense and the Clippers can definitely push the pace. Clips are among the deepest teams in the NBA, along with the Spurs. And your right the game is on thursday, my bad.

I just dont think "pushing the pace" will be the reason the Cs lose this game, they have shown they can keep up with anyone when it matters (e.g. in the playoffs last year), and this is a game they are going to get up for.
Celtics defense in general has been inconsistent thus far this seasons, even though it looked pretty good against the Nets (given that the Nets offense is a disaster so it might have made them look better)....clippers are playing very well at the moment and will be tough to beat at home, I do agree in that sense. It ll be an interesting game... |

#13 Posted: 12/26/2012 9:50:26 AM Very well could. Cs playing at a high level right now. Pierce is hot. If Terry could get hot the Clips can be had. But then they'll go on another 10-12 game run.
I'm new here but have seen your posts before. You're a big Clip fan if I remember right? |

#16 Posted: 12/27/2012 9:01:32 AM I think the Clippers would cover this 8.5 even if the game were being played in Boston. Now that Magic Johnson has anointed them the new Showtime, they're going to want to put on another high-flying show for another nationwide audience. The Clippers are not to be messed with.

#20 Posted: 12/27/2012 9:48:41 AM i believe the line was just right...spurs gave 9 at home against the celtics...so why not the clips? who's been hot lately and maybe the most "complete" team in the nba right now. |

#22 Posted: 12/27/2012 12:17:07 PM bench for the clips is the difference, starting 5 will go toe to toe but when the coaches work in the rotations clips pull away. |

i am just taking the points +8.5. more confident they lose tomorrow at utah. i should have looked at the schedule more closely before starting this thread my apologies.
also while i am slapping high fives with kayne courtside after blake's amazing dunks while and the same time slapping kim k's behind i don't want to be rooting for the greatest show of all time to lose.
