#2351 Posted: 1/8/2013 12:00:23 AM Yeah tough day indeed, on the positive it should help eliminate some of the pure gambler followers that aren't interested in any kind of steady income, but instead looking for some miracle winner picker that will never exist in the long term. Interesting that haven't heard from Melos tonight, if he took a day off good for him. Today was brutal with all kinds on unexpected outcomes left and right. |

#2352 Posted: 1/8/2013 12:00:52 AM start making your calls based on oddmakers standpoints. try to know what they know, dont try to analyze what is already out there in the public. everything has been factored in the odds by the oddmakers. unless you point out something that is not in the stats, injuries, weather, conditions report then you are not doing it right. |

Jeez man really, man up if anyone ever has a losing day they they can't blame anyone but themselves. It's super weak and major cop out to blame someone else. You are the one in the end that ultimately chooses your own pics. You sir sound like someone that should not be gambling |

#2358 Posted: 1/8/2013 12:23:46 AM Today was a bad day for almost all of us.The only way to win today was not playing at all. Lets start study for tomorrow and hopefully we can bounce back.
I´m leaning on the Bucks. The Suns are playing garbage. Just have to see the impact of not having Ilyasova

Mavin has a responsibility to post winners to all that are tailing him... i believe this guy has a right to post his frustrations when things havent been going to good the last few days |

#2367 Posted: 1/8/2013 12:51:17 AM Honestly manstar you really need to take a look at yourself and the past threads you have wrote about Sportsmavin. You have constantly had nothing but positive things to say about him when he was on fire. Now that you have a bad day, you get all over his case and thats not the way to treat someone who has done nothing but try and help and be patient. We all make our own decisions in who to tail, or the bets we make. I did get really lucky today and was caught over at a friends house without my laptop watching the national championship. I was 2-2 from bets previously this morning and last night but wasn't expecting to not have my laptop and would have made more. I had alabama, and the celtics+7 for wins...but lost okc and under for bama/notre dame....But i can honestly say I got lucky for not having my laptop tonight after watching the results for the NBA games. This was just one of those nights where everything was behind backwards and you can only expect that at times. My main point though is its funny how people are dieing from advice from Mavin every day of the week and he does so much work for all of us and is patience with everyone. Then the second he has a bad night, its nothing but the same people he has helped giving advice to him on how to play. Some nights no one can expect the results that come into play, we bet for what we think is going to happen of course and put the odds in are favor. Certain nights even that is not enough and this just happened to be one of them. I'm glad i ended the day even (well a few bucks down from -110 on 4 bets but basically even). But Mavin already knows everything you guys are saying and it was a bad night for everyone that happened to be betting. I'm just lucky that I didn't make any more bets because I was unable too tonight...must have been a good omen i guess.
I know Mavin is strong enough to not get offended by anybody...something he has proven already many times on this thread. But that is no justification for people to put all blame on him, he gives you his picks and works extremely hard on them, in the end you make the decision to put your money in by tailing him or not. There is no question in my mind what a good handicapper Mavin is and how patient and hardworking he is. His incite is impeccable, things just don't happen to go our way at certain times because in betting we constantly try and put the odds in are favor, but there is always still a gamble unfortunately. But lets stay a team, work together, help each other and most importantly be there for each other on good days and bad days in betting. Lastly lets remember who is doing all the incite and putting in all the hard work for so many people in here without asking for a thing, except for everyones patience......BOL in the future guys |

#2368 Posted: 1/8/2013 12:51:20 AM Mavin,
Here is a question that is probably taboo.
Would like to know if YOU think that games in Professional Leagues (NBA, NFL, etc.) are "fixed" or "influenced" in some way or is it entirely human nature when good teams don't give their best effort against "lesser" teams and lose, in your opinion. |

#2371 Posted: 1/8/2013 12:58:50 AM Alabama didn't quit and turn into a bunch of cry babies when they lost to A&M. Otherwise they wouldn't have been hoisting the trophy tonight. Like I stated before it's a marathon not a sprint! If your going to get all pissed after a bad day you have no right to get happy after a good one. If I never had a bad day gambling I wouldn't know how too appreciate the good ones! |

Mavin does not have a responsibility for anyone. He charges nothing for any picks and even if he did, the fact remains its everyones choice on the picks they choose to take. If you dont like his pick, dont take his pick....he doesnt force anyone into anything, everyone makes their own choice with every decision we make. WE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO CHOOSE TO TAKE SOMEONE ELSES PICKS OR NOT. MOST IMPORTANTLY THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT. IT'S ABOUT HELPING EACH OTHER ON PICKS....TAKE A LOOK AT THE GAMES TODAY, EVERYTHING WAS behind BACKWARDS...AND IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES. WE ARE ALL EVEN, BECAUSE THE MONEY IS GONE. IF YOU HAVE BEEN BETTING THE RIGHT UNITS YOU SHOULD NOT BE DOWN UNITS RIGHT NOW FROM WHEN THIS THREAD STARTED. YOUR CHOICE TO COME ON THIS SITE, YOUR CHOICE TO TAKE SOMEONES PICKS. SERIOUSLY TAKE YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY.... |
