Reccapping the games so far (notes):
Cleveland - Sacramento 94-97
The line opened at Cleveland -4 and moved to -3.5 against the public support of 3 out of 5 bets being on Cavs to cover.  The Kings won by 3 points and Public Lost. The totals line opened at 198 and closed at 200. Public was almost 70% on Under and Under and the Public Won. More important is the fact that the logical outcome of Under won and the teams most probably could not keep up with scores.
We had no business in this game. Public is 1-1. Line movements 1-1
Indiana - Washington  89-81
Public was almost 70% on Indiana -10.5 but the line did not move. Indiana did not cover and the Public Lost. The totals line went up from 180.5 to 181.5 despite almost 65% of the public on Under. The public won.
We had no business in this game. Public 1-1. Line movements (I consider line not moving despite the public on it on spread as Line down) 1-1.
Toronto - Portland 102-79
I had a lean on Toronto. Line moved from Toronto -3.5 to -4 alongside public support. I call it a straight move. Public Won. Line movement won. On totals - public was on Under but the line moved up half a point. Public won again, line movement lost.
Public 2-0.  Line movement 1-1.
Orlando Chicago  94-96
Line opened at Chicago -3.5, dropped gradually to -3 and -2.5 and right before the game to -2. That was due to money as the hindsight tells us. That was opposed to the public support of the Bulls. The totals line stayed (same as went up) at 184.5 despite a great Under support from public. We lost a bet on Chicago -3.5.
Public 0-2, Line movements 2-0.
Miami - Dallas  119-109
Leaned on Miami to cover 10.5  - the line did not move up despite public support for Miami. Lean on over was right - public was evenly divided on that. Lost a first half bet on Over 103 here missing by a point. Chose first half bet to avoid monkey business with Miami.
Public 0-1, Line movement 1-0
Boston - Memphis 83-93
Won Under bet here. The spread opened at Memphis -4 and fell down to -2.5 because of the public being on Boston - straight move. The line on totals stayed at 179 (same as came down) despite the public support of Over.
Public 0-2, Line movement 1-1
Milwaukee - SA  110-117
Won the bet on Over here. The line opned at SA -6 and moved down to -5.5 despite the public supporting SA - classic case of RLM by the books that failed them as in most cases. But they do it to reduce the collateral damage which they most probably did. Line on totals moved from 202 to 204 despite the public support of under.
Public 1-1, line movement 1-1
OKC - Brooklyn 93 -110
Books darling game with which they spoiled many parlays. There's always one game a night like that and this one was it. The line moved straight with public from -9.5 to 10. Totals thou were supposed to stay Under but did not. public supported Over and got it.
Public 1-1. Line movement 0-2
Houston - NO 104-92
Leaned under which happened. Straight play-move on Houston from -9.5 to -10 cashed in with public. Public lost on Over ignoring the line movement down.
Public 1-1, line movement 2-0

The rest of the games are on but you can most probably can figure them out alone.

Public 7-10    Line movement 10-7 (the numbers are identical in mirror incidentally, or not?).

I appreciate the kind words meant to ease the losses, but my friens - LOSS is a LOSS. And if they were by a half a point or one point - that means that I failed to figure what was the right side of that half point loss which is a half point win whoever wagered on the other side. What I'm trying to say here is not that I'm trying to be more righteous than the Pope, but that I should have avoided the games that were gonna end that close as it is unjustified risk of hard earned money. It can work for a day, few days. even a week or two - but once the habit wears in - the books smile and grab their money back.I am lucky to be at this point where I am with that reckless betting I have been practicing due to overall excitement here. That is not how I made all those winning months that drove me to open this thread and I will go back to my notes and restrictions to chose the right games. I might be doing fine now - but that won't last if I keep doing it the way I did since I was taken by the spirit of "let's hit it while we lucky". And I am warning all of you to follow that advice of mine that I am going to follow myself. Lucky - is for limited time. Money making takes patience. The best example for what I said is the win by the Suns which I won by a point. So I can't really complain losing by point other games. I might go 4-2 or 3-3 today, but I'm done betting 6 games a day. Back to my notes and handicapping. You had a great day and so everyone who tailed you and I congratulate you. But also warning you not continue in a same pace. Slow down man. Trust me on that advice.
The bottom line is that there are no excuses for losing and no bragging rights for winning. It can only be done if you treat it as an Ice Cold Business

Just glad sixers didn't shoot up a garbage time 3 at the end there!  I don't play nearly as frequently as some u guys, like to limit to couple most solid picks only. Ive consistently come out ahead this way the past 3 months on nearly weekly basis. Tonight suns -4, GS/clip first half over 102, and GS +2.  Looking solid as long as Cips don't make a comeback in second half which is always a possibility.

BTW Melos, I like your pics and analysis for the most part, and got nothing against ya, but dude chill out on the posts mid game. It's obvious you're excited which is cool, the all those mid game posts become a waste of space for anyone trying to catch up on the thread. Just my two cents.

Marvin love the analysis, and I see why you're a solid handicapper, not gonna win them all of course, but I see how you consistently come out ahead. Personally I could never just tail someone's pics blind, but if I'm leaning on a game myself, and u pick it I know it's likely to be money!

Embrace criticism. Don't go explaining what you meant and what you did not. That will take your eye away from the ball!!! The minute you'll start to do it - negative comments will multiply. So someone called you a con artist. Big deal. You know you're not. That's enough. Read the beginning of the thread - I was accused of everything except invading Panama. So what? I know who I am. I don't need no ones justifications. Nether do you. Stop living on your ego. You have a gift. Use it right!!!

That's a great recapping Mavin, thanks for posting.  I have to say I've only had a chance to read about 5% of this thread, but it looks like it is full of useful information.  I'll be back on the regular from now on.

A note about your Line Movements notes - I think some of the movement (eg BOS) is due to lineup announcements.  Do you always mark that down the same as a "straight move"?

Keep up the great work!
