|They are catching 5 against the Knicks who are off a B2B with an uninspired showing against the Bulls on the road last night.

They scored a season low 85 points after beating the Heat by 20 with the same squad 2 nights prior. The Heat showing was obvious: all the role players stepped up in Carmelo's absence. That fades away as the season moves on.
Well Carmelo is probable tonight and the Nuggets are still getting 5 based on that news. It's not as if he will be 100%. He shoots right handed but he has to catch and shoot and defend (which he's been doing more of this season with a recently lacerated hand) the left. I think this injury, if he plays will deflate his shooting percentage (which he'll be looking to do a lot of against his former team).
And as for his former team, they know Carmelo was Denver and will be looking to show the new Nuggets can compete with the resurgent Knicks, especially for the Nuggets who were traded for him in their homecoming this year to the Garden. Karl will be sure to tell his team this game could serve as a big statement game for a team that floudered early on, got hot and then recently has faded somewhat against good competition.
5 is to my liking here even with Melo in the lineup, and Carmelo still can be pulled which makes the 5 all that more attractive:
