I might regret this, but eventually though the time had to come... For posting plays, now I decided I will either have "BIG PLAYS" that will be "5 units to win" or "small plays" which will be what has been the normal "1 unit to win". I've been spending more time overlooking and narrowing down what I play lately, and really would like to know the difference between plays I really like and the ones I'm more leaning but not 100% confident in for whatever reasons....
BIG PLAYS 5 units each
ROCKETS -2.5 ( Now the Nuggets seem to be getting much respect on this line just based on offseason/preseason hype and expectations. Linemakers must be making us think they got it together now they got their win. Sorry but it was thier home opener against the Pistons... Now for THIS game, if they win or even make this game close then they are making REAL progress. The Heat game the Nuggets played close in didn't count, the Heat played like they didn't care to win that game. I also want to see Gallinari get completely healthy for them.
The Rockets got some much needed time off to help Harden get more familiar with teammates with some practice time. This is one of the those public plays which might not even move the line, but still wins easily, this happens more often than you think. This line might be merely set like this to make sharps a bit leery of putting their whole bankroll on it. But whatever the reason.. game will probably have Nuggets starting strong at first... but with 5 games in 7 nights in a 2nd night of a b2b... they will be worn down by the final minutes by a fresh legged and talented Rocket team. )
JAZZ -3.5 ( Oddly similar situation here, Lakers coming off a blowout against a pathetic Pistons team. Watched the game and saw that Dwight, despite still seeming less than 100% for sure, was getting whatever he wanted against the Piston big men. Pistons seemed in awe of the Stars they were playing against.... sorry but this won't be happening in Salt Lake.
And sorry, but the Jazz big men are a bit different and will make Dwight AND Gasol work on defense. Plus these guys can box out and rebound unlike the Pistons. I'm still on the Laker fade train with a tiny spread like this for Utah to cover....Utah should be a top 4 home team this year with their depth and their usual extra homecourt advantage. )
small plays 1 unit each
Bucks -1
Hornets -1
Suns -2.5
Good luck to everyone on their cards
