WTF Nets

I don't have them ATS but the over got crushed as well. Talk about no defense AT ALL.

And the losses are piling up today.

Great job by Memphis, destroying that 196 under. Unreal.

*****Results yesterday: 3-4  (-1.32 UNITS)*****

JAZZ/GRIZZLIES 196 UNDER @1.88 for 3 UNITS -3.00)

DALLAS MAVERICKS -4.5 @1.91 for 3 UNITS (+2.83)
CAVALIERS/CLIPPERS 196.5 OVER @1.96 for 2 UNITS (+1.92)

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS ML @2.10 for 2 UNITS (-2.00)

PACERS/SPURS 195.5 UNDER @1.93 for 1 UNIT (+0.93)

TIMBERWOLVES/NETS 191.5 UNDER @1.90 for 1 UNIT (-1.00)

PHOENIX SUNS +13.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT (-1.00)

What can I say? Memphis let me down, totally. While it is true that under backers lost that game because of a silly flagrant foul, that game should've way under if the Grizzlies played defense the way they were used to. Then another moose occurred with the Warriors falling short, and lastly Brooklyn allowed Minnesota to eat them alive in the 4th Q. Just one of those days, I guess.

Funny that for tomorrow's games, I cannot seem to get any feeling or read at all. I was leaning towards Denver-10, but the handicap is quite huge for a team that has yet to win; and considering they are also facing a winless team. I might force myself into playing a parlay of MLs so as to lessen the juice.

I'll sleep this off and decide later if I will make a play for the games or not.

Bets for tonight/today:

PISTONS/NUGGETS 198 OVER @1.82 for 2 UNITS

>>>>>Both teams have gone 0-3 for the season, and this is Nuggets 1st home game (finally). They badly need a win, and this is the perfect time to get it. 2 bad games in a row, Denver needed that game against Miami to wake their offense up, and that is the Denver Nuggets team that many of us know. Too bad they are really bad defensively, that scoring 116 wasn't enough for a victory. Team that up with a Pistons team that hasn't stopped any of their 1st 3 opponents, it's safe to say that Nuggets will have a field day in the offense. Question is, will the Pistons contribute to the totals at all? Last game they allowed LA Lakers to score 108 but only mustered 79. Tonight could be the same result in terms of total, but I am hoping that the Pistons will score more than that. I am looking at an up-tempo, fast paced game here.

DENVER NUGGETS -10.5 @1.98 for 1 UNITS
>>>>>They have something to prove, and this is a good team, with a solid coach. The days off really helped this team mentally, and maybe they needed to endure those frustrating games so they can realize that they have to take games seriously. Not because they played against subpar teams mean they can relax. Both the Philly and Orlando games were like that. And when they stepped on the pedal against the best team in the league, they fell short. Tonight, I am banking on the feeling that they will crush the Pistons.

MAGIC/BULLS 187.5 UNDER @1.82 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Now if Orlando becomes successful against the Bulls' defense tonight, then I will have to tip my hats off to them. They are quite overachieving at this early stage, but we all know they won't keep this pace up. Chicago was probably pissed with their performance against the Hornets a few days ago, and they should've realized not to take teams lightly. I hope Bulls continue to play terrific defense tonight, and that will force the Magic difficult ways to score (finally).

RAPTORS/THUNDER 197 OVER @1.91 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>3 games had passed, and Toronto's totals had been associated with the teams they played. First, they faced Indy which loved half-court games and it resulted to an under. Then they faced Brooklyn and Minnesota, 2 teams who loved fast pace and lots of 3 point shots, and both games sailed over. I am feeling the trend will continue tonight. Thunder remains to be one of the best offensive teams in the league, relying mostly on offense to win games. They will keep the game at a high level, pushing the ball, scoring quick points. Toronto, I assume, can do the same, and will adjust to the game the Thunder will give them.

BOL to all our bets!!!!

YTD 25-20 (+7.68)
Side: 10-5
Total: 13-8
Money Line: 2-5
Parlay: 0-2

*****Results yesterday: 2-2  (+0.62 UNITS)*****

PISTONS/NUGGETS 198 OVER @1.82 for 2 UNITS (+1.64)

DENVER NUGGETS -10.5 @1.98 for 1 UNIT (+0.98)

MAGIC/BULLS 187.5 UNDER @1.82 for 1 UNIT (-1.00)
RAPTORS/THUNDER 197 OVER @1.91 for 1 UNIT (-1.00)

In the Raptors/Thunder game, the score was 108-86 with 2:29 left. The over backers needed 4 more points for the win or 3 for the tie. After that time, there were no fouls; no fastbreak points; 5 3pt attempts (all misses); and 2 points to show. MOOSE#1

In the Magic/Bulls game, the score was 91-81 with 2:34 remaining. That gives the under backers 15 points of allowance. Within that 154 second span, there were 6 FGs made; 6 FTWs made; and 20 points had been scored between the teams. MOOSE#2

Bets for tomorrow are as follows:

CAVALIERS/WARRIORS 201.5 OVER @1.91 for 3 UNITS
>>>>>Based on the last 4 matchups between these 2 teams @ the Oracle, the totals were: 212; 211; 231; 214. I have no idea why they become offensive monsters when facing each other, but my guess is because they were so used to playing up tempo, even way back during LBJ-Monta era. Nothing's changed, as both teams are led by speedy PGs who thrives on fast pace games. Over has cashed 4 straight times in their matchup, so why should I go the other way?

MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES +1 @1.91 for 3 UNITS
>>>>>Why do I bet the handicap and not the ML? Well, my record speaks for itself. There were 3 instances I went with ML bets, all of which lost; but if I went with the handicap, I would've been 1-0-2. Sticking with a safer play and not betting MLs because of bad luck. Also, the Grizz had been successful against Bucks in their recent matchups @ Bradley Center, going 4-1 ATS. Another "nemesis" I presume?

ATLANTA HAWKS -2.5 @1.91 for 2 UNITS
*****ALERT: I HAVE NO IDEA IF JSMOOVE WILL PLAY*****
>>>>>Again basing this on their recent matchups, the Hawks had beaten (and covered) Indiana 5 straight times @ their home floor. I am one person who believes the "nemesis" rule, which means all teams has its own nemesis, that always seems to beat them. In this case, Indiana has not beaten the Hawks for at least 3 years (in Atlanta's court), and with departures of key players (Collison/Granger for Ind & Smith/Johnson for Atl), the trend will probably continue. Normally I fade a team which just had a huge upset win on the road (Atl @ Okc), but not in this case.

LAKERS/JAZZ 195.5 UNDER @1.91 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>Another trend in the making. 4 straight unders when these 2 teams played @ SLC, and I am banking on the possibility that the trend continues. As simple as that. Also, I am hoping the Lakers will want to play defense now?

SUNS/BOBCATS 190.5 OVER @1.87 for 2 UNITS

>>>>>Both teams suck defensively, and add the scenario wherein this is the last game of Phoenix's 3-game road trip, so I am assuming that their minds are already on a plane trip back home. If that's the case, I should've went with Charlotte-2.5, but the matchup is just about even, so might as well stick with the totals bet.

HOUSTON ROCKETS -2.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Denver Nuggets covered earlier today, and are in a b2b situation. Automatic fade from me, although, that 79% covers concensus favoring the Rockets scares me a bit..

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES -6.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Orlando Magic covered their game earlier, so an automatic fade for their b2b game. Same situation with the Nuggets.

DETROIT PISTONS +5.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>Kinda scares me to back the Pistons, but I have to stick with the b2b rule. Pistons failed to cover earlier today, so I am assuming they will want to play harder tomorrow against the Kings before going home. Not to mention, this may probably be the only chance the Pistons get of winning, because the next 4 opponents after Sacramento are quite/very/extremely tough. They don't want to have an 0-9 start, do they?

TORONTO RAPTORS +5.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>Now this one smells really fishy. The Raptors just played back-to-back, lost by 20 against OKC, their main PG Kyle Lowry getting injured (and won't play tomorrow), and they are only getting 5.5 against Dallas who beat the hell out of Charlotte and Portland? Also, this would mean that the books are valuing the Raptors = Blazers because both had the same handicap? I don't think so. The line is screaming to take Dallas Mavericks, and I will definitely not take the bait. I'd rather put my money on the Raptors this time, and should they lose, it's alright, because the I'd rather take the risk than the bait.

Lots of bets for tomorrow's games. 5 bets relied on recent matchup trends, while 4 relied on b2b scenarios. At least 16 units will be at stake (I may play I/R as well) so hopefully I cash in majority of the bets.

BOL on all our bets!!! Cash that/those ticket(s)!!!

Local bookie changed many of the odds, I had to cancel 2 of them.

My final plays will be as follows:

CAVALIERS/WARRIORS 200 OVER @1.97 for 3 UNITS
HOUSTON ROCKETS -2.5 @1.95 for 3 UNITS
ATLANTA HAWKS -3.5 @1.83 for 2 UNITS
LAKERS/JAZZ 197.5 UNDER @1.95 for 2 UNITS
MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES -5.5 @1.87 for 1 UNIT
DETROIT PISTONS +6 @1.94 for 1 UNIT
TORONTO RAPTORS +7 @1.91 for 1 UNIT

***I cancelled the Memphis bet because it's become MEM-1. I am not comfortable with the Grizz being road faves against a decent/good Milwaukee team. I also cancelled Suns/Bobcats over because it went from 191.5 to 194. That's a big leap.***

BOL to all our bets!!!

I like Uta, it's just that Lakers just won their 1st game, so they probably are in the "groove" at this time. Spurs is a good bet IMO. Clippers are in total array defensively.

Houston tried coming back but the door was shut by Lawson and Co.

And the Raptors are trying to do the same, coming back. 4th quarter, we'll I can only hope for a moose.

Under in Lakers/Jazz game seems fine for the moment.

Raptors

Finally! A moose going my way!

Also...

Denver Nuggets 3-1 on back-to-backs. I will be keeping an eye on them. While the other 29 teams seem to be struggling bigtime on b2b games, Denver seems to enjoy it.

@jonescup:

Yup, you have to declare taxes on winnings. As for betting, there are 2 ways of placing bets. Either you go to a branch, bet a ticket, and keep that ticket so you can get your winnings after you win. OR, you make an online account, and make calls when betting. It's not the same with other books wherein you can just click and click. That's one of the disadadvantages of MSW because there are times the phone lines are busy, and you cannot bet immediately.

Is it difficult to ask for a possible Detroit moose?

And now, over backers need only 41 points to tie 200. After 3 minutes, teams combined for 6 points. Unreal.

YTD 30-22 (+10.21)
Side: 13-7
Total: 15-8
Money Line: 2-5
Parlay: 0-2

*****Results yesterday: 5-2 (+2.53 UNITS)*****

CAVALIERS/WARRIORS 200 OVER @1.97 for 3 UNITS (+2.91)
HOUSTON ROCKETS -2.5 @1.95 for 3 UNITS (-3.00)
ATLANTA HAWKS -3.5 @1.83 for 2 UNITS (-2.00)

LAKERS/JAZZ 197.5 UNDER @1.95 for 2 UNITS (+1.90)
MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES -5.5 @1.87 for 1 UNIT (+0.87)
DETROIT PISTONS +6 @1.94 for 1 UNIT (+0.94)
TORONTO RAPTORS +7 @1.91 for 1 UNIT (+0.91)

I cancelled the Suns/Bobcats over which cashed in; also cancelled Grizzlies-1 and cashed in. To top it off, the Houston-2.5 which was supposed to be only 1 unit became 3 units, and lost badly. Not cool.

BUT, after going 0-2 on the 1st 2 bets, I went on a 5-0 run the rest of the day, 3 of which came to the last minute. I feel for the Mavs and Kings backers out there, for they were in total control of their matches. It's just that, back-to-back trends really exist, and Mavs/Kings backers were on the wrong side last night.

TNT THURSDAY TOMORROW. You know the drill. Fade covers consensus day!!!! Hence, my pick(s) will be the following:

CHICAGO BULLS +1.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Currently, 66% of covers picked OKC. If it was a regular day, I will probably be on that 66% majority. But since tomorrow is TNT Thursday, I will be siding the minority. That's simply my reason.

PORTLAND BLAZERS +1.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>LA Clippers on back-to-back, they won today, so I expect them to lose tomorrow. Covers consensus is currently 52-48 in favor of LAC, so I think I'm still fine. I will back out of this pick if by tomorrow, majority suddenly sides with the Blazers.

I won't make the bets just yet. Still waiting for more covers consensus, especially on totals. But, if the percentages remain the same by tomorrow, then these will be my picks.

BOL on all your bets!!!! Beat the books/bookies!!!
