Rockets over seems long shot now..
Nuggets under seems long shot as well.. Magic with 62 points early in the 3rd?!?
Celtics under and Hornets under seems pretty fine for the moment..
Blazers and Wolves fighting back..

That Indiana ML is currently appealing, thing is, Bobcats are doing pretty well so it's risky too.. I may have to think twice about this..

Well at least the Nuggets are playing better defense now, and Magic is helping by missing some of their shots.

Still pondering about the Ind ML. This was almost the same scenario against the Raptors a few days ago.. Can the Pacers deliver again in the 4th?

Great 3rd quarter by both Suns and Pistons... Under is once again alive after looking dead..

Warriors climbing back of that deficit, keeping the game close..

In another news... Lakers still sucking.

Warriors trying to fight back, but this is just a tough climb for them against the Grizz.

Still a positive day for me, and I hope most of us also cashed in today.

Too bad, Pacers failed to win that game the way they did against the Raptors. In short, I am now 0-2 on Indiana games. That ain't a good sign at all. On the other hand, I went 5-0 on totals today! Had to sweat a couple unders (Phoenix and Orlando), good thing they pulled thru. Most of all, I am really ecstatic as to how the Rockets had been playing especially their 3 major acquisitions.

Picks for tomorrow's games will be done later.

Lots of teams are playing back to back games. I used to go with the trend that these teams will win ATS at least 1 of the 2 games, meaning, if they lose the 1st game ATS, they will win the 2nd ATS; or if they won the 1st game ATS, they will lose the 2nd ATS. Out of 30 teams 2 seasons ago, only a handful were successful in covering b2b games, Grizzlies and Bulls were 2 of them. Let's see if this trend continues.

Looking at tomorrow's games, there are some who will have both teams playing back to backs. So, the bets including those b2b teams will just be trial bets (still early in the season to say who will be successful in b2b games).

Onto the bets:

KINGS/PACERS 192 UNDER @1.91 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>Both these teams are on b2b, and also lost ATS. Another similarity is that both teams' 1st 2 games were on the road. Yet another similarity is that both teams average below 90 ppg. Playing on the road for the 3rd straight game will not help the Kings' cause, but maybe the Pacers will shoot the ball better and have less TOs (maybe). Even so, 192 is quite high for these 2 teams, so I will ride the under.

CELTICS/WIZARDS 191.5 UNDER for 2 UNITS
>>>>>Boston lost badly earlier @ home, allowing the Bucks to drop 99 on them. Don't get me wrong, the Bucks are good in scoring, but the Celtics is also good defensively. They know that in order to win, they have to step it up on the defensive end, considering they had allowed 120 and 99 in their 1st 2 games. The Wizards, the abysmal Wizards, are still without their star PG and C. They shot a LOT of 3 pointers against the Cavs, and so Varejao had a field day with the rebs. They may have to resolve with that tactic yet again, considering Celtics is very good in the interior (or I think they are).

BLAZERS/ROCKETS 204 OVER @1.83 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>Again, these 2 teams are on b2b. People may think that in playing 2 games in a row, legs are dead meaning shots will be short or offense will struggle. If you think of it that way, you may also say that if legs are dead, then defense will also be dead. Shots may not fall as easily than the 1st game of a b2b, but let's admit, these players are professionals, and playing ball is what they do. I will continue banking the Rockets over until the opposition had found a way of stopping the Beard.

DALLAS MAVERICKS -9.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>That's a HUGE handicap for a team who has no legit scorer yet/anymore. Then again, they had no issues scoring against the Lakers and Jazz, so why should they have issues scoring against the Bobcats? Another reason here is that Charlotte is on a b2b, and after covering ATS and winning SU earlier today, I expect/hope they will lose the 2nd one, ATS.

JAZZ/SPURS 199.5 OVER @1.95 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Jazz on a b2b, and as I mentioned yesterday, they are pretty ordinary on the road. But, looking at their matchups @Spurs for the previous years (excluding playoffs last season), the totals for these 2 teams had boomed over. I don't think there will be any difference with that tonight, and if Manu is playing, then that will mean more points (probably...).

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS +8.5 @1.96 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Both teams on b2b, with the Warriors losing ATS/SU as faves, and Clippers winning ATS/SU as dogs. I am going again with my experiment of a split on b2bs, so I am banking on the possibility that the Warriors will cover with the additional points.

HORNETS/BULLS 184.5 UNDER @1.93 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>It's sad that A Davis suffered an injury this early, and a painful one at that. He will not be available this game, and with a Hornets line-up that has little option on offense, where are the points gonna come from? Add the b2b scenario for both teams, and Chicago constantly shutting teams down, I like the under here all the more.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS +6.5 @1.95 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>Again, teams playing b2b. Cavs lost ATS/SU as dogs; Bucks won ATS/SU as dogs. I will, again, bank on the reasoning that a split will occur, so I'll take Cavs and the points here.

HOUSTON ROCKETS ML + SAN ANTONIO SPURS ML + CHICAGO BULLS ML @2.32 for 1 UNIT

>>>>>All these teams are facing teams who had played yesterday, and only the Spurs are rested. I am not confident with all their spreads, so might as well combine them into 1 bet to avoid the juice.

BOL on all our bets tonight!!!

Parlays are being harsh to me this early. That OT on Sac/Indy game sucked as well. What sucks is that Marcus Thornton is on my Fantasy team, and when he hit that 3 to send the game to 1st OT, I was like... "Cmon man!!" That makes me 0-3 overall on Indiana games. I have to be very wary when betting on this team's games. Overall, going 6-3 for the night is not bad, just sucks to go 1-2 on my 2 unit bets. Good job to those who went with the Blazers/Rockets under by the way.

Bets for tomorrow will be to follow.

Bets/Picks for today:

TORONTO RAPTORS -3 @1.89 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>Last night, I went with the rule of fading teams who covered ATS/won SU the 1st game of their b2b; and vice versa. Warriors won/covered; Cavs covered; Charlotte lost (of course I was with the Mavs). Tonight, I will ride the Raptors who failed to cover Brooklyn's spread. Timberwolves played really well in their opener, but we still have to consider that this team has no legitimate go-to-guy with Love and Rubio sidelined. Even if it remains to be seen that Toronto deserves to be favorites against teams who is almost at their level, I will rely on that b2b trend.

NEW YORK KNICKS -4 @1.91 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>People say that their victory over Heat was more of mercy or sympathy from Lebron and Co. I tend to believe that it's true, but we also have to see how much better Knicks play when they only have one blackhole in the offense. Melo is still used to carrying an entire team by his lonesome, and that may actually be something that kept working for this Knicks team. 76ers played solid against Nuggets, then again, Denver stunk in their 1st 2 games. I bank on the possibility that NYK will continue their success @ their home floor, playing with lots of emotion.

SUNS/MAGIC 192.5 UNDER @1.92 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>Magic shot lights out in their opener, while Suns had to bleed for points in their 1st game, but played much better in their 2nd. I don't think Orlando can keep their offensive success, the way they did against Denver, and Suns is still looking for their true leader. While it is true that G. Dragic is assuming that role, he is just a PG, and he cannot do everything (unless he becomes Chris Paulesque). I am hoping that both teams will struggle tomorrow (NO OVERTIMES PLEASE).

DETROIT PISTONS +8 @1.91 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>WHAT?!?!? Lakers are 0-3, very very hungry for a win, and I am fading them? Well, yes. Their PGs suck, and that's about it. Game 1, D. Collison demolished them. Game 2, Damian Lillard demolished them. Game 3, Chris Paul demolished them (and also Jamal Crawford). Where the hell is the defense? People sort of blame this to the weak help defense by DH12 or Pau, but basketball is 5-on-5. Every man has his own assignment on the floor. And once that one player gets beat, the defense will be on a 4-on-5 disadvantage. Nash is a weak defender. Blake is a weak defender. Tomorrow, another no-name PG will toy with this Lakers' defense.

Only 5 games for tomorrow, I won't be forcing bets yet. Unless, in-running bets are appealing or I feel like one I/R bet is necessary.

Good luck to all our bets!!!!

Yeah okay Orlando under is toast.

And the Raptors once again cannot hold the lead. But, still a full quarter ahead.. It's time they show that they learned something from that Pacers loss.

*****Results yesterday: 2-2  (+1.60 UNITS)*****

TORONTO RAPTORS -3 @1.89 for 2 UNITS (+1.78)
NEW YORK KNICKS -4 @1.91 for 2 UNITS (+1.82)

SUNS/MAGIC 192.5 UNDER @1.92 for 1 UNIT (-1.00)
DETROIT PISTONS +8 @1.91 for 1 UNIT (-1.00)

Well the Lakers showed up and the Pistons didn't. Magic was all over Suns defense, and was hitting pretty much every shot imaginable. I'll take a 2-2 so long as it reaps profit, though I would've wanted to have a winning day in terms of record.

On to today's bets:

JAZZ/GRIZZLIES 196 UNDER @1.88 for 3 UNITS
>>>>>My very first 3 unit bet this season!!! This scares me a little, because majority of covers is also on the under. This is Grizzlies' 1st home game, with the 1st 2 road games going over. They had always been a half-court set type of team, and plays really good defense. Jazz, again, is a subpar team on the road. Last game I went with over against the Spurs, and that was mainly because of their recent head-to-head (sans playoffs). Tomorrow, I go back to the under on Jazz' road games. I hope this will be a struggle for both teams offensively. Go defense!

DALLAS MAVERICKS -4.5 @1.91 for 3 UNITS
>>>>>This is almost a rematch of that 1st round playoff series 2 years ago (the matchup which included Brandon Roy's heroics in Game4). It's almost the same matchup, only difference is Portland has become younger and Mavs becoming more of a teamplay (for now, w/o Dirk). I like the momentum the Mavs are carrying, overflowing with confidence, and that all began when they beat the Lakers on opening day. Portland on the other hand, handed my Rockets its 1st defeat, on the road. I applauded their effort of stopping the Beard, and it paid off. Even so, I am confident about the Mavs play style, and hope they win the game and cover the spread.

CAVALIERS/CLIPPERS 196.5 OVER @1.96 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>LAC had played 3 games so far, all going over. Cleveland played 3, the last 2 going over. Clippers are surely on a revenge mode, after getting embarrassed by the Warriors yesterday, but that 10.5 handicap is quite huge, even against a team who has no bench literally. Thing is, both teams have very good PGs and they will try to carry their teams to victory, and I am banking on the possibility of a shootout tomorrow. As seen in their Bucks match, Cleveland is capable of scoring too, and Clippers offense had been superb with the addition of J. Crawford. Here's to hoping that it rain 3s tomorrow in this game, and FB points too.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS ML @2.10 for 2 UNITS
>>>>>Kings will finally have a home game, after 3 terrible losses on the road. Rule of thumb is, after a long road travel, on their 1st home game back, fade the team, because of all that jetlag and travel. Warriors also traveled a lot though, but at least they were within the vicinity out West, while the Kings had been traveling everywhere. I'll take the Warriors ML in this case.

PACERS/SPURS 195.5 UNDER @1.93 for 1 UNIT
*****ALERT!!!! I AM 0-3 ON PACERS GAMES!!!
>>>>>That game against the Kings should've been Pacers' 3rd straight under, and it shows because of no Danny Granger and no more Darren Collison. It's not that they are not good offensively, but they prefer having half court sets than pushing the pace. They have 2 big men that loves to post up, so they feed the ball downlow more often than not. As for the Spurs, they can go for offense or defense any given day, but I feel they will play the style of Indiana, which is slow tempo. Will I go 0-4 on Pacers games though? I hope not.

TIMBERWOLVES/NETS 191.5 UNDER @1.90 for 1 UNIT
>>>>>With 2 of their stars sidelined, Twolves now includes JJ Barea on that list with a concussion. I was supposed to play Minnesota here because they lost ATS earlier today, and if a b2b rule is applied, they should cover today's game. But, I feel the Nets would want to show how good they are too. They won their 1st game, but that was an ugly game, and they want to show their supporters that they are for real. But, can Brook Lopez be a monster again? I don't think so.

PHOENIX SUNS +13.5 @1.91 for 1 UNIT
>>>>. Simply put, they lost earlier today ATS, so I expect them to win ATS today because of b2b trend. I won't even defend them at all, but maybe, tomorrow they cover the spread. Maybe.

BOL to all our bets!!! Let's hope for another winning day!!!
