One last try for daytrader...

Under your advice, he would have locked in $380 profit either way on his $620 parlay.

Had he just made a straight bet on the SF ML, would he have won more or less than $380 on a $620 bet?

If you can't figure this answer out, you have absolutely no hope.

You have two options...

Option A) Bet $620 to win $620 on Sf ML straight up. (was even money)

Option B) Bet $620 on a 2 team parlay and hedge the second leg if SF wins to lock in $380 profit.

Which option do you choose?

HMMMMMMMM.

Daywalker- You gave me the right advice as I was starting to question the over after the wager was in and i had already won sf.  Guess what, I was right to question the over as the game went under and I would have won money with your advice. These math addicts need to learn that you can friggin hedge a two teamer and have a profitable day!

ok rangerz ...let's solve this Based on your advice he should not have HEDGED which means he lost everything and didn't get paid!!!  and Based on my advice he would have gotten paid 380.....So now who's right?  YOU DON'T HAVE TO REPLY AS I'M SOOOOO DONE WITH THIS CONVERSATION.

REMEBER AT THE END OF THE DAY IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU DID IT OR WHY AS LONG AS YOU GOT PAID YOU WON!!!!

The fact that you still, still, STILL don't understand the point here is frightening.

I was never ever ever commenting on whether or not he should have hedged his parlay. It's all about the strategy involved. There are two strategies here.

1.) Place a straight wager on SF and win $620 if they win.

2.) Place a 2 team parlay with the intent of hedging the first if you win the second and win $380 if they win.

This will be my last post on the subject because you are literally like talking to a wall. The only difference is a wall does not give me as many headaches.

GL in life, you will need it.

Wow...I've seen it all on here. Agree with everything Rangerz said...amazing some people still don't get it.

Anyone who is hedging a 2 team parlay/doesn't understand what Rangerz said shouldn't be gambling seriously.

Do people not understand a parlay is a COMBINATION of straight wagers/rolling over the wager and it's winnings?

For example, I had Junior Dos Santos at -425 at one book and Cain at -350 at another book. These were the best prices out there and if I parlayed them at one book I would have got significantly worse odds. Probably around -200 for the parlay. Instead, I played Cain at -350 then after it won, rolled over the original bet/winnings on Cain at -425 on my other book and instead paid -170 saving 30 cents of juice.

Same thing as a parlay.

The fact 90% of people bet the parlay instead of doing this (if they had better prices at other books) is a fail and the one of the reasons the house always wins.

End of rant, hopefully this opened at least one person's eyes.

Well said but I wasted my time with this guy and you are doing the same if you go any further.

nepatriots -  it is not a 2 team parlay when you have already won the first leg, it becomes a single bet and if you have changed your mindset on the second bet, as I had tonight ( which I was right to do) you look at your other options, which is what I asked about. U can b my bookie if ur avatar will pay me on tuesdays

Why make the parlay in the first place then? If two events are at different times, there is NO advantage playing the parlay. In fact, you may even get worse odds as you won't get reduced juice.

Again, this is why the house always wins because of guys like you. (Don't worry, your not alone)

rangerz- I did not ask what I should have done before I placed my wager, I asked what I should do after I had placed my wager and had won the first leg.  You have a reading comprehension issue and your advice sucked.
