I would imagine this line gets up to at least -5 by game time. 

Without those 2 and the game being in Atlanta, I think ATL easily covers that spread.

peirce had an awful game,I think the over is more settling, they play up in ATL and defense more in boston...Peirce and KG know they have to carry this team tomorrow, Look for a lot of iso's with perice and they'll go to KG early...It Might go OT I like Over

Why on earth would anyone think the over is a good idea tomorrow? These teams always play sloppy grind it out games and the celts have no fast break without rondo. Whos going to score quick buckets without rondo? Like you said it will be iso for pierce which equals longer possessions.

ya, Over won't be cake, they've accounted for lack of play maker ability rondo brings I think.. But still, KG and Pierce can create for themselves.. Iono I just like the over after what a poor performance we have last game...

Lvrn. Joe johnson had a worse game than pierce did. I know everyone loves to rag joe but he has been shooting well since he finally got healthy and i expect him to contribute more tomorrow. Expect atleast 20 from joe tomorrow.

Yup, that's why I'm saying the Total is a better play.. and @ 175, with both of us sitting here projecting big nights from big players... Regardless of possession time, FG % > Posession time...BOL TO EVERY1

Can anyone think of a reason NOT to go with ATL tomorrow though?

Barring an unbelievable game from both KG and Pierce, they should cover 4 easily ... that's a chance I'm willing to take.

Went ahead and made a 2 unit wager on ATL at -4.

If Allen was playing then you may be right but he's not.  I agree that Bradley should do an alright job at filling in for Rondo but who fills in for Bradley?

and Bradley may get 18 and 8 tomorrow but it will be a much less efficient 18 and 8.  Rondo had 20 and 11 on 55.5% shooting and 1 turnover.   IF Bradley gets 18 and 8 it will be on 40% shooting with 4 turnovers and then you add in the drop off in production at SG since Bradley is at PG.

Pierce will be WITH the ball at the top of the key all game. That is not a bad option, especially if he is on. He's gonna have two days to think about it.
There is a reason Vegas set the line so low. Celtics could and probably will win this game. ATL has flaws and all it takes is a hot Pierce/Garnett combo and booom....game over.

Granted Im a Celtic fan but how are you saying the Celtics have no chance?  The Celtics played AWFUL in game 1 and if Rondo didn't go bananas they MIGHT have won it.  They will be fine in game 2.  Pierce was awful in game 1 and will step it up.  I hope the line keeps going up because I am taking Celtics moneyline no doubt.  And betting an over in a Celtics game is never a good idea but goodluck

The Hawks love to no-show when it seems they should roll to an easy win. A Celtic's SU win would not surprise me at all tomorrow. 


I expect Boston to circle the wagons tomorrow shorthanded, play great D and make it a close low scoring game.

don't forget Rondo carried their sorry fools offensively too. KG sucks...

This game might not hit 130 because Boston's strategy will be to slow it up and play D.

Never bet against injuries  rookie mistake! Other players tend to step up and coaches use different gameplans. Celts cover this game if not win it.Not going to be easy as most of you think

dude, u just had a thread betting the sixers because rose isn't playing.

 

anyway, i can't see any reason to take the over. out of 8 quarters, only 2 of them got out of the teens in the first game.

Boston will you paul pierce as the point forward, and theyve played well when rondo has been out, rondo and pierce both out

the line is also only just +4 when the game is atlanta and the celtics are without allen and rondo?

this game will get ugly, i feel the celtics are gonna put the clamps down on atlanta, it will be a great defensive effort

i expect pierce and kg to have big games also

i said from the start of the series i expect the celtics to win at least one of the first two games, i lost game 1, im going with the celtics Moneyline game 2
