This is the BEST TEAM IN THE NBA with the BEST DEFENSE that matches up EXTREMELY WELL with a .500 team like the Knicks. The game is AT Miami. People talk about Lin having turnovers. Wait until he plays the number one team that forces them and he will hit double digits. The only problem the Heat have is motivation and they have PLENTY OF IT. The Knick will get crushed with Miami's transition game and if they go half court it will be a turnover fest for the Knicks. This is a MISMATCH NIGHTMARE FOR THE KNICKS and the Heat are the hottest and best team in the league. The line is double digits for a reason. VEGAS is trying to keep people from unloading on Miami.

Sure, with their firepower the knicks could absolutely stay within the number, and with Carmelo on your team you can always win any single game, but with the heat at home, on national TV in the final game before the all star break I'd be more shocked to see a knicks SU win than I would be to see a 20 pt blowout by the heat. I watch every Heat game, call me biased, but that's just my .02. Heat -3, LOL

So what do the line makers do??? They make the Heat favored by more than they're supposed to so that the people that would of bet the Heat ML at -225 now have to bet the Heat -9 on the spread instead because you're not going to bet the ML at -500. This also increases the Knicks ML bettors and reduces the number of people taking the Knicks on the spread because why would you pass up the +350 value on the ML??? So how do the books win tonight??? If the Heat win by 10+ they clean up on Knicks ML bettors If the Heat win by 8 or lower they clean up on Heat -9 bettors and Knicks ML bettors If the Knicks win outright they lose on Knicks ML bettors but clean up on Heat -9 bettors which makes them lose a lot less than you would think and they also have a chance to win some back on the Lakers/Thunder game later on. There you go, Whatever the outcome of tonight's game the books wont get killed, So whoever thought the Knicks were a trap think again.

They got some new pieces that may fit in a good squad, but right now (if miami does not pull one of their "tonight not feeling like playing at all ) only Bulls and OKC may justified a line under 10 on Miami... Miami shows up today and destroys NY. Knicks play no D and have lapses...maybe Chandlers D and Lin heroics keeps it close for a while, but Miami kills them for sure
